Chapter 31

( Cameron's P.O.V ) 

Its been one day, six hours and, forty-three seconds since I've last seen Serena. It is so hard. Baring with the thought that she may never be mine again. And it hurts-it really does.

I constantly continue to analyze the look on her face when she saw me standing in that room, a look of disgust, hatred and betrayal washed over her face. The way her eyes lost all thier shine. That beautiful glossy look that she gets whenever she is happy instanly faded. She honestly looked hurt and betrayed by me for the first time. It killed me inside- to know that I don't make her happy anymore. To understand that she'll never look at me the same way anymore. 

* FLASH BACK * 

I run out of the room to my car and instanly brake into tears. I honestly haven't cried thit much in my entire life... I cry and cry and cry. After an hour or so I decide to go back in the hospital. I go into the hospital and I walk to the room to see a sleeping Serena in the arms of the one and only ... Shawn Mendes. He's singing to her, " Serena? '' he asks ever so quietly " Yeah Shawn? '' she answers  in that quiet but cute voice that I love so much. " I love you... " he says slowly but surely. " I love you too Shawn ". She replies so sweetly. So swiftly. Almost like she would say to me. After that I run. Run back to my car and drive off.

( Serena's P.O.V ) 

" Hi, Mrs. Kelsey - ". " Serena please '' I intrude. " Serena, I'm Dr.Keene. You can call me Amber. I am sorry to inform you but your friends will have to leave."

" Can one stay? " I ask.

" Yes, you are aloud one over night visitor, but only one. " say Amber.

" Okay, can you give us a minute? "

" Ofcourse " She frants as she walks out of the room. 

" Guys I think we should let Shawn stay. " speaks up Megan.

Everyone agrees and we all exchange hugs, " I love you's ' and ' goodbyes'.                                

Dr.Keene comes back to see everyone gone and seems pretty amazed. 

" Serena, you know you're a pretty strong girl to be as young as you are, but im gonna let you know a secret. I am only a intern. i am not that much older than you. I am only 20. I used to go through the same thing you're going through right now and I am telling you.. it gets better. Just give it time, If you ever need to talk just call please. " and with that she hands me a piece of paper and walks out of the room. 

I scoot a little closer to Shawn who is asleep. 

" I meant what I said Shawn. I do love you, I just need time to love you as much as I want to " I say 

" Okay. " he replies in his husky sleeping voice and places a kiss on top of my head. 

Wow..
