The war is still going on. It almost has been an year. An year without Annabelle. I haven't seen James from a long time now. I heard the guards talking that the war had gotten worse than ever.
James had ordered the guards to inject me with wolfsbane, the last time he wad here,so I won't recover.
I knew that I've gone insane by now. I wouldn't think of James.I wouldn't even think of Annabelle and my parents. I would think about what if the other pack wins the war then obviously I'll be rescued.
How insane of me to think that I'll ever get out of this place. I don't know how light looks like, how it makes everything visible, how the sky is so blue and how the flower petals are so soft, how the grass used to tickle my feet, and most of all how is it like to run free through the forest.
As soon as I shifted right inside this cellar at my sixteenth birthday all by myslef James made sure to inject me with wolfsbane every once in a while after that.
My wolf was very weak already. It never spoke to me like it was supposed to. Me shifting, considering how weak I was,was alone a miracle.
..
One day I knew something had gone seriously wrong because of all the howls and chaos going around. I could hear the vibrations made because of the movement on the upper floors. And then my only wish came true.
As I laid there on the floor with my cheek pressed to the ground to sense any possible commotion,I heard vibrations indicating that more than one person at a time is reaching towards my cellar. I was prooven correct right when one of the guard shouted 'Its an attack.'
It was all a chaos afterwards. Sound of bones cracking and loud thuds of bodies being thrown around. I laid there on the ground.Fear enveloped me as I realized they might just kill me becaude I'm a pack member too. More on,the Alpha's daughter. Would they sense the power that surrounds me?
After some time everything went silent and I waited patiently as foot steps approached my cellar.
'Break it' I heard a very deep and husky voice. I wanted to lift my head and see who it was but with all the wolfsbane in my system,It was impossible.
I won't even be surprised if my wolf was dead by now.
Footsteps approached my body and I felt someone lean down. I closed my eyes. A hand went through my hair and pushed them away from my face. That very hand began its trail down to my face and brushed slightly across my exposed cheek and then stilled. I opened my eyes slowly, still not able to see the person as I still laid on my stomach with my head tilted sideways.
'She's alive!' the person breathed out and then carefully turned me on my back, hesitantly covering me with the rough old blanket that was wrapped around me. I groaned in immense pain as I successfully laid on my back completely.
I finally looked at the person. The first thing I saw was black. The dark black color of their eyes. Then I noticed the clear skin with not a spot on it as if he wasn't affected by the chaos that was going on outside just seconds ago. Then I noticed the hair. The jet black hair just as mine.
