Lola hurriedly came into my room handling three bags. Upon asking she told me these were my school supplies but I had no idea what she was talking about. Ofcourse I know what a school is. We learn how to fight,defend ourselves,first-aid,warewolf history,pack dynamics,wolf dynamics,mate dynamics,music,even cooking,drama and a bit about the human world too.
I've been in the packhouse for a week now. I've only left my room twice when Alpha and Luna insisted that I should have a 'change of air',but it never lasted more than ten minutes. I can't stand the attention.
My thoughts were cut short as Alpha and Luna came inside my room. 'How're you doing Isabelle?' I gave my usual smile. Maybe If I was able to write It'd be better for a situation like this. You can't nod,shake your head and smile to all the questions.
'Did Lola came in?' I nodded my head and Luna clapped her hand suddenly. 'I'm so excited about you going to school.' She must've seen the confusion on my face as she said 'I didn't tell you right?' I shook my head.
'We decided that since you can walk now and you spend your whole day in this room while you're allowed to move anywhere you want,it will be better if you start school here. You will meet girls like you. You will make friends.' after a pause Alpha said 'Why do you look like you've seen a ghost hon,its just school. Every wolf attends school. Don't you remember your old one?' The Luna hit him on his arms 'No talking about the past Theo.'
School. Girls. People. Judgements.
It was all too much but I eventually had to come out of the shell I thought I would spend forever in but it will be this soon,I never knew.
I can't say no. They have done so much for me and maybe school won't be as bad as I think. So I nodded my head.
'Perfect. I knew you'd like the idea of school. Like every pack we have a girls school in the pack and boys school in the East pack. Girls attend school here while boys travel all the way to the East pack. They return once they're eighteen excpet for the 'to-be' Alphas,betas and gammas.' I knew that already. All the boys of all the packs here,travel to the East pack returning when they are eighteen. Girls however graduate in their respective packs. This is because if a young wolf finds his mate,both are unstoppable. Emotions are everywhere and they want to mate as soon as they can. This way some may have to leave for other packs to be with their mates leaving their studies,their family,their home back. Some just get rejected because of an immature teenage decision. This is why the North,South,East and West pack made a treaty,deciding that young male wolves will travel to East pack once they are fiffteen,returning at the age of eighteen axcept for the Alphas and betas. They come back when they turn twenty because they have to learn more than the ordinary wolves. Girls would stay in their respective packs.
Was I ready to show up in between thousands of girls who probably won't like me. I'll be the weak,loner,crutches-girl to be specific.
'Honey don't get upset about it,I understand what's bothering you. Maybe we should introduce you to the pack first. This way the pack members will know you and more on,you'll be able to use the mind link.' Luna Natalia offered and I perked up.
