Chapter 10

His heart was pounding hard. He ignores the pain. His health’s getting lower and lower. He didn’t stop despite of the uncomfortable feeling he’s having. He didn’t even care about a thing; he just wanted to bring his son to The Land of Moriah. He was taking every single second precious. His heart starts to malfunction.

 

Fredrick collapsed.

 

“No!”

 

“It can’t be!”

 

“I can’t lose!”

 

“I’m getting further”

 

“Could it be?”

 

“Is it over”

 

“No, it’s not over!”

 

“I have to fight!”

 

“I need to prove Travis that I deserve to be his father”

 

“Everything will be okay” he told himself,

 

“Fredrick?”

 

“Wake up!!!”

 

“Your son needs you” a familiar voice whispered,

 

        Fredrick opened up his eyes to see who was speaking. There was a force field around him and Travis. He saw his wife Chloe. He smiled. Tears begun to drip from his eyes, tears of joy,

 

'Chloe?'

 

She smiled and said, 'Yes, my dear,'

 

'You really are an angel' he chuckled

 

'You’ve been a real bad boy my dear'

 

'Yeah, look at what I’ve caused'

 

'It’s not your fault'

 

'Wait you’re not a succubus or something right?'

 

'Not at all' she chuckled,

 

'Good,' he sighed,

 

She laughed.

 

‘I’m so sorry,’

 

‘It’s fine,’

 

‘Wait I thought God’s on a rest?’

 

‘God is,’

 

‘Oh I get it!’

 

‘My dear, where are you heading to?’

 

‘Jerusalem’

 

‘I can take you to Jerusalem’

 

‘You can?’ his eyes were filled with joy, he hugged Chloe for he was so happy

 

        Chloe grabbed onto his husband’s shoulder while Fredrick held onto Travis. They flew across the demons.

 

‘Uhmm… Chloe?’

 

‘Huh?’

 

‘How did you manage to escape the heaven?’

 

‘I became a rebel’

 

‘So you’re a traitor to the heaven?’

 

‘Technically’

 

‘But why? You’re a great girl and you can never do that’

 

‘When it comes to your family, you can do everything; furthermore God will understand me in the future’

 

‘So you did that just for us?’

 

‘Yup’

 

‘But why?’

 

‘Is love enough for a reason?’

 

        Fredrick thought of what Chloe stated. It is true. It hit him hard. He realized that love changes everything. That love is something you can never deny, something you can never hide. Love is something deep, beyond human understands. It is a mystery that can never be solved.
