I was alone at a cafe. It was 8pm and I had no intentions of going home since I knew no one would be home. No one is ever home. My parents were always on buisness trips and I hardly ever saw them.
I sat in a booth in the corner looking out the window while drinking hot chocolate.
That was when I saw a girl. She was about my age. She had black hair that brushed against her shoulders and lips that were pink and looked soft. Her eyes were shining in the dark night and by the looks of it, it seemed it could light up this boring, dull world.
Sometimes I found myself wishing that my eyes weren't black and dull. I wish my eyes were bright and full of light.
Just like hers.
