It's been four weeks since Peter was let out of the hospital. All that was left of his injury was a scar after the surgery to remove the geostone liquid before it seeped into his bloodstream.
Peter was now returning to afternoon training at the Avengers facility. Peter was still questioning what Tony meant before he left the hospital room that day.
"Ahhhh, Peter. I would like you to meet someone special." Peter thought that maybe this was the answer to the question he's been pondering for four weeks. Behind Tony, was a girl who had her face stuck in a book.
She had short, curly brown hair and had pale, yet flawless skin. She wore glassed over her face and seemed very quiet and nervous around everyone including Stark. When she appeared, Peter couldn't help but stare at her. Not because he was trying to be rude, but that she was very stunning.
"Is this going to be my partner?" Peter whispered. Tony stepped back and looked surprised.
"What? Her? Peter, the only reason I wanted you to meet her is because I am adopting her."
As Tony turned away, Peter frowned. It's sad, because he was actually hoping that she would be her partner. But then again, how could he work with someone who doesn't seem to talk. Before Tony could take her away to show her around the facility, he told her his name.
"Hi, there. I'm Peter. Parker." He smiled and offered her his hand. She kindly shook it and told him her name very discreetly, as if she didn't want him to know what her name was.
"Wendy. Wendy Marcus." She turned away and followed Mr. Stark as he showed her the rest of the facility.
Peter figured that as far as she knew, he was an intern for Stark Industries.
But no, Wendy knew so much more, but she was told not to tell anyone.
Before we move on, let's talk a little bit more in depth about the mysterious Marcus girl.
