Chapter 27 [Key to the answer]

Ayame POV

"We're getting lame missions again?! No way I expected something more exciting!" I said.

"Be patient." Itachi replied

He's always so calm about things.

"No way! I want a more exciting mission! Even training at the Academy are better than these D ranked missions! Besides Kakashi sensei is on our team he can help us right?! Just give us a C rank mission already!" Michiya yelled.

I never would've thought he would be the one that saying that.

I just nodded in agreement.

"Oh that's right. Speaking about C rank missions. I have an S rank mission for your team." Lady Tsunade said.

"What?! But Lady Tsunade they're just genin. They probably can't even handle C rank missions. They can't go on an S rank mission. It's too dangerous." Kakashi sensei said.

"I know that. But... It's a request from her. She must've thought this through. She said only your team will be able to pull off this mission." Lady Tsunade said.

"Who is she?" Michiya asked. Even the kid who never questions much is now questioning the hokage.

"The finest ninja konoha has ever got."

A depressed face fell on Kakashi's face again but he got over it ater awhile.

"You are to deliver a letter. This letter consists the meeting spot and time for the eight and nine tails jinchuriki. This letter is supposed to be a diversion to lure out the last Akatsuki member that still lives. You're lives are at risk on this mission but she said it must be your team." She continued.

Kakashi had a confused, worried and unwilling face. "Got it... We'll set off immediately."

"This is the letter. She requested that Miki holds it. Don't ask me why she knows Miki, I don't know either. Take care, be alert." She said before we left.

About 10 minutes after they left konoha.

"Kakashi sensei." Michiya said.

"Mhm?" He said turning around.

"Who is she exactly?"

Flashbacks of memories seemed to have rushed into Kakashi's mind. He stayed quiet for awhile before answering. "Ayame Hatake."

"If she's konoha's finest ninja why haven't we heard of her before? And did you say Hatake? Isn't your last name Hatake? Are you related?"

Sadness shown on Kakashi's face. "She's...my daughter. She went on a mission a year ago. It's a mission even the hokage can't complete. She is indeed konoha's finest ninja. I beat she could beat the 5 kage without breaking a sweat."

"Actually I should try that someday shouldn't I?" I joked.

"No! That'd get you killed. Idiot." He replied. He sounded really serious.

"Dad said I could so I'm pretty sure I can handle. Besides if I use my eye it'll work." I said.

"... Pay attention to the mission. Tobi might appear anytime." Itachi lectured. He's always so worried about stuff.

"Yes yes Mr. Anxious." I replied.

"She sure is amazing isn't she. Going on missions risking her own life for the village." Miki said.

I glanced over with a shocked face. I never expected that from Itachi.

"Itachi..." I said. You would be correct to say I nearly teared up. But no I had to hold it in. I'm this close to completing the mission I can't. Not now. I love them so much.
