Chapter 17 [Escorting the Kazekage]

Ayame POV
I went to gather my members. Only 3 of them.

"Camel, frog and mouse. Come with me." I said.

Every other anbu members looked at them weirdly. Probably thinking that the three of them did something wrong and that I was doing to punish them. But no.

"We have a mission, now let's go I'll explain on the way."

"Yes ma'am!" They all chorused.

Journey to the sand will take at least 3 days even if you're really fast. So I definitely had time to explain the mission.

On our way there...

"Captain please explain the mission." Frog said.

"Okay. Our mission is to escort the Kazekage of the sand to konoha. They are having a meeting there. We are to make sure of his safety. There might be high ranked ninjas attacking him, since not all people agree with him as the kazekage since he's very young. This is a S rank mission so keep your guard up." I said.

"Captain. May I ask about that sword on your back? It's new right? I never seen it with you before." Mouse said.

"It's not. I had it since I was 6. It's the seversword. It used to belong to Zabuza Momoichi one of the seven swordsmen of the mist. I fought him twice back when I was 6. Before she died he gave me the sword."

"Wow! You're amazing Captain!" Frog said.

Camel was a quiet type so he doesn't talk much. Frog and mouse were the noisy type but they're strong when they get serious.

A few days later...

"We're nearly at the hidden sand." I said. They all nodded.

Then all of a sudden somebody was in our way.

"Hey you! With the seversword. I want to battle you and if I win I get the sword deal?" He said.

"What's your name brat." I asked. A living person wouldn't dare to approach me like that if they knew who I was.

"Suigetsu Hozuki. That sword doesn't belong to you." He said.

"Well apparently I received it from a certain someone so it does belong to me and you'll have to kill me to get it." I said smirking.

"Then I'll kill you!" He came charging at me.

I swung my sword at him only to find that he is able to liquefy himself. Impressive, a kekkei genkai? Probably.

I casted a genjutsu on him and left him under my genjutsu. Ny genjutsu is really hard to break through. Honestly, I only seen a few done it. Like Lord third, dad and... Itachi probably can if he try well I don't know I never faught him before.

We continued our journey to the sand. It didn't take long before we arrived.

"Identity yourself.Why are you here?What is your business?" The guards said.

"Akira. Captain of the anbu from konoha. These are my team mates. We're here on a S class mission to escort the Kazekage to konoha for his meeting with the Hokage." I said handing them a scroll form the hokage as proof and they let us in.

"Lord kazekage your escorts are here." A sand shinobi said to the kazekage or gaara.

"Lord Kazekage." I greeted and started with the usual introduction.
"I'm Akira, the captain of the anbu and these are my team mates. We will be the ones escorting you. Please inform us if you need anything." I said.

"Get up. We'll leave right away." Gaara said.

We immediately left. This is going to be a long journey. Plus it's going to be troublesome if there more for that kind of guys (Suigetsu) out there after my sword. Well I'm not going to hand it over anyways, it's a precious gift.
