"____ dear, what are you doing?" Loki asks you, standing at the doorway to the room you share, chuckling.
"Don't. Move. A muscle," You hiss quietly. You are in the corner of the bedroom, standing on a chair, facing the bed, stick in hand. Loki seems even more amused by this statement, taking a step into the room.
"And why not?" He asks, smirking.
"Death!" You whisper back, seriously. You watch the bed intently, waiting for any sight of movement. Loki looks towards the bed.
"What's on the bed?" He asks, raising an eyebrow, stepping towards it.
"No!" You yell, causing him to stop. "Don't move! It will sense you!"
"Love, what will sense me?" Loki chuckles.
"The spider!"
"You've fought many great monsters, yet you are afraid of a spider?" Loki asks, walking towards you.
"Unlike a spider, when those monsters are defeated, they stay down! A spider... A spider will hide and wait for your weakest moment!"
Loki chuckles again. "So, you aren't moving all because of one spider?"
"Loki!" You whine. He walks over to you and wraps you in his arms.
"I'm just trying to understand. Why don't you just kill it?" He whispers, smirking.
You roll your eyes, but never letting the bed out of sight. You see the spider begin to move and tense up. "Well, if I try to kill it and fail, it will want to get revenge! Plus, if I do kill it, his family will want to get revenge! Instead of one spider, I'll have 100!"
"Darling, I promise you it isn't going to harm you. Spiderman isn't that bad is he?"
"Spiderman isn't a tiny arachnid, waiting to strike you at any moment. No! Spiderman is a nice human with spider powers!"
"I'll give you that much," He laughs. "Why are you so afraid of it though?"
"Well, think about this. The master assasin downstairs is named after a spider..." You trail off, letting him think.
"I have to give you that one too," He sighs. He turns your head, looking into your eyes, and causing you to lose sight of the spider. "Well, I won't let any spider get you okay?" He smiles warmly.
You nod, blushing as always. You look back to the bed. "Loki!" You whisper earnestly.
"What is it love?"
"The spider isn't there anymore!"
"Let me go see," He says, standing up.
"No!" You say, grabbing his hand. "That's just what it wants!"
"Love, I'm the God of Mischief and Lies, I can do this!"
"Loki, you got defeated by a few mortals, this spider isn't any different!"
"I let them win," Loki chuckles to himself. "You were to beautiful to enslave, so I decided it would be best to gain everyone's trust. That way I could win you over!" He winks.
Your entire face flushes red. Loki kisses your forehead, and you let fo of his hand. "Be careful!" You whisper, sternly.
He gives you a mock salute and turns around. "Wait!" You say. He turns around and you hold out your stick. "Take this!" He chuckles, but grabs the weapon.
He walks over to the bed slowly. "Darling, there isn't a spider in sight. Are you sure you saw one?"
"Loki! It crawled on me!" You groan.
"Well, I don't see one," He smiles, beckoning you over there. You slowly make your way to the bed. "See? No spider!"
"What about under the pillows? The blankets? The sheets? It could be anywhere!"
Loki shakes his head while smiling. He lifts up the pillows and blankets, showing you the spider is gone. You let out a sigh of relief.
You both lie down on the bed, cuddling up to each other while you start a movie. "Stop," He whispers, halfway through the movie.
"Stop what?" You ask.
"Tickling me," He says again.
"Jarvis, turn on the light please," You say. The light turns on and Loki screams, jumping out of bed.
You see the spider running across the floor and scream as well, jumping around, trying to get away.
Loki runs to grab you, knocking over a lamp in the process. You see it break, but at this point you don't care. "______, there's two of us! We can take it!"
"I thought you weren't afraid of a spider," You chuckle nervously.
"It crawled on me," He hissed, trying to find the now missing spider.
"I told you!" You hiss back, squeezing his arm a little.
The spider comes crawling out from under the bed, causing you both to scream. Loki pulls you up and over the bed with him, knocking over the nightstand in the process. You both end up over by the chair you were on earlier.
You're standing on the chair, back pressed against the wall, while Loki is in front of you. You both see the spider under the bed at this point. Is it trying to follow us? You think.
It moves a little bit, causing you both to move back. You fall off the chair, knocking something else over, and taking Loki with you.
"_____, are you okay?" Loki asks you, worriedly.
"Where's the spider?" You ask.
You both spot it at the same time. You hear chuckling at the door. "What in Odin's name is going on here?" Thor asks.
"Don't. Move. A muscle," Loki whispers.
