Cierra
"Mom, can you please just listen?" I asked when we were all leaving the house the next morning.
"I don't wanna hear shit from you right now, Cierra, honestly." She said.
"Well can I at least have my phone back while I am in school?" I asked.
"I said no already so stop asking before I have the shit turned off all together." She said so I just shut up the rest of the way to school.
"I'll see you later have a good day." My mom said to my brother when she pulled up to the front of his school for let out.
"Okay see ya later. See ya, Ci." He said.
"See ya." I spoke back when my mom tapped my arm. I wasn't mad at him I just didn't feel like talking.
"What are you doing?" I asked when my mom got out the car with me once we got to the high school.
"I'm going to go set up where I get a phone call on my cell phone as soon as you are marked absent since you wanna act grown and sneaky." She said.
"Where ya phone? I was calling you this morning." Bria said coming up to me when I walked in and Mom headed towards the office.
"Got it taken away." I said before telling her what happened. "I know my mom done probably already called your mom to run it down. Parents so annoying with that."
"Oh damn." She said. "If she did I didn't hear anything."
"I'm pissed I don't know Mike's number by heart because I'd use your phone to call him." I said.
"Damn girl." She said shaking her head.
"You still going to say bye to Lala after school right?" She asked me.
"I haven't asked my mom yet, but I'm hoping she will let me since my best friend is moving away."
My mom isn't even letting us walk home anymore. She is gonna pick us up on the days she can and the days she works a little later Devin's dad will come and pick us up.

"Mom." I said coming into the kitchen while she was cooking dinner.
"What, Cierra?" She asked. Okay, still very much mad at me.
"Can I please go say my last bye to Lala?" I asked and she just ignored me once again.
"Mom they are leaving tonight. Pleasseee." I begged.
"I'll call her mom to see if they'll stop here before hitting the road." She said flagging me off me.
"Cierra, come down!" She called me down a little later.
I came downstairs seeing Lala. I ran over and hugged her.
"I didn't wanna have to tell you, but I told you so." She whispered into my ear so only I could hear her.
"Shut up. I'll miss you." I said back.
"I'll miss you too girl. We gotta keep in touch."
"We do. I can't believe you are leaving me to move hours and hours away." I said hugging her again.
"I know. My mom just had to accept a new job so far away." She said giving her mom the side eye making me laugh.
"Girl hush." Her mom said.
Once they left I asked my mom could we go to the gym Jigz told me about so I could apply and she agreed to that.
They said the hiring manager wasn't there but she would be calling me after looking at my application and sure enough I got an interview then was hired just to help with any little things around them gym like always making sure the refreshments area is clean and stocked, having clean towels and rags out and I will even be washing them, and whatever else they need help with. It's nothing major, but it's a job and I'll be bringing in a little bit of money by myself.
