Chapter 11

I got up and observed my surrounding. I was in a field of roses, lush roses. The wind blew as the warm sun massaged my skin.

"Am...I dead?" I think. I stare into the blue sky and breath in the fresh air. I close my eyes, hearing the birds chirping, bees buzzing, and the wind blowing the flowers. I felt at peace. I lay down in the flowers and drift of into an endless slumber.

~~~Katniss's POV~~~

I watch as the doctors operate on Oasis. They pull the knife out of her stomach but as soon as they do, the crimson liquid leaks out of her body. The heart monitor freaks out as her heart beat got slower. A tear made its way down my face as I watch her heart slowly come to a stop...The thing that kept her alive for many years slowly faded right before my very eyes. Her mother and father cried as they watched their last child, slip away. Their faces had a look of dread as the heart monitor flat lined. Their daughters were gone in an instant by these blood thirsty children we call humans. How could life be so...cruel? We hugged and cried as Oasis's heart stopped its pace and ended her life.

~~~Snow's POV~~~

I smirk as the stupid girl dies and her family sulks. I turn around facing my wall.

"My, my. What a shame..." I turn back to the screen to see something I never thought I would see... The girls heart monitor...started again.

~~~Oasis's POV~~~

Just as I was about to sleep, I heard a voice...

"Oasis?" I slowly open my eyes to see Emily.

"E-Emily?" I ask. She nods. I get up.

"W-How? Are you alive? Or am I dead?" Emily shakes her head.

"No...You're alive. Just...Suffering." I stare at her as tear rolls down her face.

"Oasis..." Emily points towards my stomach. I look down, seeing blood trickle down my torso. My heart literally, stops. The pain rushes throughout my body as I can slowly feel myself dying. I look up but Emily wasn't there...

"E-Emily..." I cry. I fall to the ground crying my eyes out...I close my eyes waiting for death to take me away. But when I hear a voice I'm shoved back into reality. My eyes shoot open as I see the doctors trying to save my life... They stop when they see me awake.

"Oasis!" I hear. Mom and dad rush towards me as they hug me. I wince at the sudden pain and look at the wound that I saw with Emily. I sat there thinking.

"Go on and win the Hunger Games...For me." Is what she said.

I was pulled back to reality and replied.

"I will." I say really quietly. Mom looks at me and kisses me.

"I thought I lost you..." She cried. Katniss runs up and hugs me too.

"W-What happened?" I ask. Katniss's fills me in on the information.

We walked into the room.

"Here it goes. All over again." I pout.

"Okay, it's time, here is Cinna. He's waiting." Effie leads me into a room and I sit down.

Yes, I know, you're confused...After the doctors gave me stitches, I was taken to my room. I had a good nights rest but I was woken up to get ready for the interviews.
