Friendships

A couple years went by in a moment, Shu had made more friends since then.

They all noticed that Shu was a great friend to play with when you got to know her. She had also got into a football team as she loved sports because it made her feel more energetic.

It was the first day of term after the Christmas holidays. In the Christmas holidays, Shu knew that Santa wasn't real the one day she saw her Mum wrapping up presents and then having the same present wrapping for Christmas. That year she had a drawing pad and a sports outfit as well as some sweets and chocolate.

Shu didn't mind as long as she was happy. Mya was still Shu's best friend but they also let a girl called Alexa and their group play games with each other also liking sports. It was early January when Shu came back to school she walked up the school by herself since she was old enough and walked up to Alexa, Mya and everyone else but something was left out of place, Claire. She would usually be there but she wasn't there. The bell rang and everyone from that class walked in. They did registration and the teacher didn't even mention her name.

Mya and Shu looked at each other in confusement. She would normally come in everyday. They knew that she had been ignored in the recent months since they were playing with Alexa and her friends. Shu couldn't help thinking where she could of gone until a girl asked 'Miss! Isn't Claire here today? I haven't seen her today'.

The teacher replied 'Didn't you hear? Claire has left the school.' Shu still wondered for the reasons why.

After school she walked home and came to her Mum. She asked if she could speak to Mya on the phone since she knew Claire better than she did. When the phone was passed to her she talked about Claire for a little while and then she had enough courage to say, 'Do you know why she moved school?' Mya paused for a moment to think.

'Oh, she left because her Dad got a better job.' Shu said goodbye and then stopped the call. She was surprised that Claire never told of this, yet again she guessed that she thought that she wouldn't matter to her. She reached her teddy she got years ago and hugged it with tears rolling down her cheeks because she never got to say goodbye.
