chapter seventeen: surprise + secrets
mackenzie's pov:

i wake a bit later since i went to bed really late up watching the whole season 4 of vampire diaries. i try go back to sleep but i know i wouldn't be able to,so i get up and go to the toilet to brush my teeth and eat some poptarts.

once im finished i go back to my room and go to my room and see many notifications. many from instagram and snapchat and johnny and jayden texted me.

text message from jayden🦄:

jayden: u excited for later on?

kenz: yeah can't wait to reunite w you,annie,lauren && the boys !!
kenz: it's gonna be so much fun

jayden: yeahh!!!

text messages from johnny💙

johnny: u coming today right
johnny: ?

kenz: yea of course
kenz: you okay?

johnny: yea why

kenz: idk i can just sense that you feel upset or like nervous🤷🏻‍♀️

johnny: oh well im not 🙂
johnny: see you later xx

kenz: hmm okay bye x

i get in the shower and put on the outfit that i picked out last night while on facetime with annie.

i curl my hair and put it half up and half down and do a natural makeup look. i then put on my shoes and wait for lauren and johnny to come.

in about five minutes they arrive and i hug lauren and see johnny standing awkwardly outside. i look at him weirdly and go and hug him. "im here for you" i whisper in his ear because i still think he looks like he's upset about something.

we leave at around 2pm and go and meet up with jayden,lauren,hayden and annie.

when we get there all us girls scream like we haven't seen each other in about 5 years and the boys do a casual bro hug while looking at us weird.
"you excited" annie winks
"um yea" i say confused why she winks at me.

we all go to this pizza restaurant and order our food. we all sit in a boot,i sit next to johnny and wait for my pizza to arrive.

once we all decide to leave annie,jayden and lauren are just smiling like a lot like they know about something and want to spill it all out.
"um guys what's wrong" i ask them
"oh nothing" lauren laughs and hooks arms with jayden.

i just roll my arms and look around to see a missing johnny. i go up to hayden and annie and interrupt their flirting.
"hey hayden,have you seen johnny?"
"perfect timing turn around" annie smile.

i turn around and gasp as i see johnny with roses in his hand with a pandora bag.
"johnny whos this for?" i ask
"for you kenz,i love you so much and im glad that we are friends but i don't want to be friends anymore i wasn't to be yours and for me to always call you mine. i love everything about you,your personality,your looks just everything about you is perfect for me." he stops and takes out the pandora box reveling a card saying 'will you be my girlfriend'
"well will you" he asks again. i nod and take the roses and the box and put them on the floor.
"wh-what you doing" he asks
"this" i say and grab his face and put my lips on his. i hear everyone screaming and taking pictures. we pull apart and i look into his face.
"i love you kenz"
"i love you too johnny" i say and pick up the roses and look at the chain with our initials.
"this is beautiful john" i say and he smiles and puts it on.
