#7 • irl & texts

chapter seven : thankful
mackenzie's pov :

i struggle to get out of bed even though it was already 12:00. me and johnny stayed up all night on facetime up until 4am. we also planned to go to the mall with lauren.

i get in the shower and then put on some leggins and a grey crop top along with my black vans. i go in the bathroom to brush out my hair and i hear my phone vibrating :

text messages from lauren💜 :

lauren: hey kenz
lauren: u ready?

kenzie: yeahh just need to brush out my hair.
kenzie: but you two can start making your way her if you want x

lauren: johnnys going to meet us there btw x
lauren: i'll start making my way to your house then. see you soon!!

kenzie: oh okay

i finish brushing my hair and then eat a cereal bar and wait for lauren. in about ten minutes she arrives and we make our way.

at the mall

"kenz,lauren!" we both turn around and see johnny standing outside forever 21.
"so what should we do?" lauren asks
"im hungry" me and johnny say at the same time and laugh.
"let's go subway then" lauren says and we start to make out way there.

"aye johnny your with the slut" i hear someone say and johnny turns around along with my and lauren and we see hayden laughing with this other dude. i see johnny get angry and he walks up to them.
"which one of you idiots just said that?" he says looking at them.
"calm down it was brandon" hayden says while laughing.
"it's true especially that mackenzie girl" brandon shrugs.

i gasp as i see johnnys arm raising up and punching brandon in the face. he lands on the floor and johnny continuously punches him.
"JOHNNY STOP" i scream while me,hayden and lauren try to break them apart.

we all get kicked out so we just head to the orlandos home. johnny got some cuts and bruises so lauren gets me the first aid kit and i clean him up.
"you didn't have to do that johnny" i sigh.
"he called you a slut what was i meant to do carry on walking" he says sarcastically.
"yes!" i say.
"we didn't even get food" lauren says and we all laugh.

once i finish up with johnny we just sit down and watch a film. about half way in lauren falls asleep and i start to get tired so johnny takes me home.

we get to my door and i grab his hand.
"thanks for everything john" i say
"your welcome" he squeezes my hand tighter and we just stare into each other's eyes for a while until i look away and say goodbye.
