chapter eighteen:

kenzie: hey annie
kenzie: u okay?

annie: um yeah
annie: acc no can you come over? please

kenzie: aw of course annie
kenzie: i'll be there in 5 x

i slip on my trainers and grab my phone leaving my house with my tracksuit and a hoodie with my messy hair but i didn't really care since annie lives near me.

i knock on her door and hayley opens it.
"hey hay" i hug her
"hi kenz" she smiles back.
i greet her mum who kinda looks upset and her dad was no where to be seen.

i ignore it and go up to annies room.i knock on the door and see a sad annie.
"aw annie" i go to her and hug her

she hugs me back and starts crying into my chest. i just play with her hair until she wipes her tears and sits up.
"what happened"
"was it hayden?" i ask but she shakes her head and opens her mouth to tell me what happens. but i couldn't believe what she says
"my parents are getting a divorce." she sniffs.

i cover my mouth and hug her again. i couldn't believe it. her parent are two of the strongest people i've met.
"and the worst part is that hayden doesn't even check up on me"she sobs
"and hayley doesn't even know"

i just stroke her hair and hug her tight. annie has been through so much and she deserves the world tbh.

she lays on my legs and tells me everything that has happened.
"basically my dad went out with matt and rebecca and my dad came home with this women at like 3am,hayley was asleep and i was in the living room with my mum who was worried sick since he wasn't answering his calls and matt said he left at like 10." she starts
"and today they argued again and my dad just gave up and packed his bags and left without saying bye to us.hayley was in the garden and my parents thought i was having a shower but i heard everything" she cries again.

"annie don't worry it's all going to be okay" i say.
"thanks kenz" she sits up and wipes her makeup off.
"oh my days it's already 8 kenz your mum must be worried sick" she gasps.
"oh shoot" i say. "are you going to be alright?" i ask
"yeah don't worry" she says
"okay love you" i say hugging her one last time and leaving the leblancs household.

all i was thinking about on the way home is if hayden even knows that his girlfriend has been crying for the past 5 hours...
