"I'll have bacon and eggs please," I tell the waitress.

"Nice choice. Give us just a bit darlin," she says.

"Thanks," I say. I get up to use the small diner bathroom. I have been traveling for 4 days. It is 8 o'clock and here I am for breakfast at Route 44 Diner. I use the restroom and go over to the sink. I wash my hands then look in the mirror. My bright orange hair is a mess and there are bags underneath my emerald green eyes. I grab my purse and pull out a hairbrush. I brush my hair out and smooth it down. I wash of my face with water out of the sink. I take one last look in the mirror.

I study the curves of my face. I have high cheek bones and a nice slim face. Going down I have rather small breasts and I am really skinny. Like my pants are size zero.

I come out of the bathroom and sit back at the counter. It's just me, the waitress, the cook, and an old man finishing up his food. I pull out a pen and a note book.

As I'm writing the waitress puts my food in front of me. I close my notebook and begin to eat. As I'm eating I watch the old man fold up his newspaper and throw away his food. He starts to walk out but hesitates. He turns around and walks towards me. He lays the folded up newspaper down beside me.

"Take care Riley," he says.

I give him a weird look. I look down at the newspaper.

"How do you know my name?" I ask, but when I look up he's already gone.
