Xmas Oneshot (Maylor)

a/n - ive come up with xmas themed ideas for nearly every pairing so stay tuned for plenty of those and other updates in the following week or so

Roger had placed his hand gently over the one resting against his heart. He began playing with it as his boyfriend was resting on his naked chest.

"Rog?"

He looked down at Brian for only a second to see that his eyes were now fluttering open in the dim bedroom.

"Sorry if I woke you," he mumbled in deep thought as he continued running his fingers across the bare top of the other man's ring finger.

"Wasn't asleep. Just giving my eyes a break."

He chuckled lightheartedly then shifted his head a little, still staring at their hands.
"Do you want to get married?"

Typical Brian to silence the part of him that was taken aback since he instead responded with facts.

"That's illegal."

Roger halted his fingers and spoke clearer. "But if it weren't, would you?"

"Yes," Brian didn't hesitate to answer.

"Cool."

The blonde then reached over to the nightstand, and rummaged through the top drawer.

"What're you doing?" The guitarist had now moved to laying on his side still facing to his boyfriend.

He proceeded to turn back over towards Brian with a notepad and a pen.

"Starting on my letter to Santa," he answered nonchalantly. He pulled the cheap cap off with his teeth and held the pad against the mattress as he began writing, Brian confused all the while.

"Roggie. Are you sane?"

"I'm asking him to give me marriage equality for Christmas."

His boyfriend simply grabbed the pen out of his hand and placed it onto his own bedside table before he intertwined their fingers.

"Someday...One day it'll happen, sweetheart."

He kissed Roger's wrist.

"You promise?"

"I promise," he said sincerely.

Roger took that as enough and went to put the notepad back. He finally clicked off the small lamp.

"In the morning, I'm gonna finish that letter," he teased.

"I'll write one too."

With that Brian snuggled in closer to the drummer who complied by wrapping his arms around his lover and the couple happily drifted off to sleep.
