Harry was sitting in his office looking at some paperwork he had managed to get from some American Aurars. It was just a list of cases that had been reported throughout the years. Absentmindedly he dug out the very first letter he had received. He read the first thing that his eyes fell upon.
A half blood of the eldest gods,
Has reached sixteen against all odds.
And seen the world in endless sleep
The hero's soul, cursed blade has reaped,
A single choice has ended his days,
Olympus to preserve or raze."Find anything?" Harry jumped.
"Sorry," muttered Ron, who was standing in the doorway.
"S'okay," Harry told him. "Don't you think it's funny that the entire city of Manhattan fell asleep not too many months ago?" Ron shrugged.
"Stranger things have happened," he said. "But when your us you kind of get use to the idea of strange things happening all over. " Harry couldn't deny that."Right," Harry agreed. "But it was only the muggles who were unconscious and some wizards and witches too. Come to think of it the only wizards and witches that weren't unconscious were labeled half - bloods. And then there's this."
He held up the letter.
"A half blood of the eldest gods/has reached sixteen against all odds/and seen the world in endless sleep."Ron sat down in the chair across from Harry on the other side of the desk.
"You don't think it was a coincidence?" said Ron.
"No," said Harry. "I don't. I think they're linked together." Ron didn't argue. Instead he said,
"I've been thinking about that. I think Mione might be right..."
"Yeah," agreed Harry. "I think so.""Which could only mean one thing," said Hermione from the door way.
"What's that?" asked Harry.
"Think about it," she said. "That letter mentions gods and a son of lightning."
"Wisdom's daughter," Harry noted. "You think by half bloods...it means half god."
"That would explain the thing in Manhattan and all those other strange cases," said Ron. "But what about the half blood wizards and witches in the Manhattan case?"
"Those ones might not actually be wizard and witch half bloods, Ron. There were half bloods that fell unconscious too. And there is a goddess of magic. Hecate," said Hermione."That would what Neville said. About that monstrous man only being predacious against curtain types of half bloods," Harry put in. "But why would he want to kill them?"
"I've been doing some research," said Hermione. "Monsters can disguise themselves using the Mist. Some people, though, can see through it, which explains why Teddy, Hugo, and Lily saw the Cyclops and you didn't."
"So, you think that man was a monster then?" asked Ron.
"Probably," said Hermione. "Ginny's asleep. Teddy's looking after the little ones. The Malfoys should be here soon."
Neither Harry nor Ron missed how she changed the subject. Harry thought he knew why. He didn't mention it, however. That could wait until they were all together.~***~ ~****~ ~***~
Kreacher and Elisa Apperated in an alley somewhere in the muggle world. They were each carrying several copies of the books. They gathered them in one gigantic pile, lit a match that Kreacher had stolen, and set the books a flame.
"There are more," Kreacher said.
"Yes," agreed Elisa. "Kreacher and Elisa can not burn all of them."
"No."
"There is no more time," Elisa said. "Elisa and Kreacher should go back. Elisa and Kreacher did their best."
"No, Kreacher and Elisa are not needed there. Not yet."
"Kreacher does not want to go back?"
"Kreacher wants to go back..." The two house elves tensed."Elisa heard something....did Kreacher..."
"Kreacher heard."
"Well, well, well, what a pleasant surprise," hissed a voice. "What is this? Have you come to do my biding now?" Elisa gasped. Kreacher growled."You will come quietly," said the figure, still hidden the shadows. "I don't want to hurt you. My Lady just wants to speak with you."
"Kreacher and Elisa will go no where," Kreacher barked gruffly.
"I was only joking about the 'you doing my bidding thing'," said the figure, sounding a bit annoyed.
"Kreacher and Elisa do not wish to speak with the her."The owner of the voice sighed.
"Fine then. We'll just let him take you!"
"Him?" questioned Elisa. There was a pause, indicating the speaker in the shadows was thinking.
"Not that him. The one who's - WHOA!" There was a loud grunt and a man came tumbling out of the shadows of which the voice was coming from.He didn't seem fazed at all. A girl stepped out - she wore a cargo jacket, jeans, boots, and a silver trinket - with a bow aimed at the guys chest.
The girl had spiky black hair and electric blue eyes that were momentarily filled with hatred and anger.
"Who sent you?" she demanded. The man only chuckled.
"I said who sent you!" The daughter of Zeus shouted again.
"I came on my own accord, Miss Grace," said the man darkly. Thalia glared at him.
"Who are you?" she growled.
"Somebody, maybe Nobody." The man shrugged. Thalia was starting to get really annoyed."Stop fooling around!!! Who are you???" she shouted.
"My business is not with you, hunter." The man slowly began picking himself up from the ground.
"Stay down!" He didn't. Thalia let the arrow fly. She missed! No. She didn't miss. She never missed. His freaking bones were made of steal! Her eyes widened in realization. The man flashed her a snake like grin before disappearing. He took the house elves with him.
Thalia cursed. She punched the wall and kick a stone into the burning fire, which was now fading out as it had started to rain. She paced around the alley cursing her self.
"How could I let this happen? Er!" She kicked the wall in frustration. She didn't even mind the fact that she possibly broke it, she could easily fix it up anyway.
Her main worry was now: How in Hades she was she going to explain this to Artemis?
