7. Nightmare

Travelling for approximately three hours, Ashutosh and Shefali reached Ashutosh's house on Bangalore. Ashutosh unlocked the door and both of them entered the house. It was a two BHK flat. Ashutosh switched on the lights and went to the kitchen, while Shefali took her to time to examine the house. The living room was decorated with family pictures. She moved towards one of the two bedrooms. It seemed to be unoccupied. Ashutosh too entered the room with a glass of water. Shefali took the glass and asked him, "Why did you...." She does not complete her statement as she remembers his so called rules. Ashutosh chuckled at her reaction and proceeded to show her their bedroom. 

The bedroom was very simple. Ashutosh moved forward and separates the two bed. Shefali looks at him questioningly. 

Ashutosh smiled and told her, "I had called my friend, Rajat, and asked him to do the preparations." Shefali nodded. Giving her a smile, Ashutosh said, "You can decorate the house as you want and turn it into a home." Shefali gives him a small smile and nods her head. 

"You must be hungry. I have ordered Pizza for us. You like it?" asked Ashutosh. Shefali replied hesitatingly, "I have never eaten it."

Ashutosh looked at her shocked but did not ask further. The doorbell rang . Ashutosh took the ordered Pizza and paid the delivery boy, while Shefali stood not knowing what to do.

Ashutosh got two plates from the kitchen and helped her with the slices. He could feel her hesitation and was determined to change her for good.

After filling their tummies with the delicious food, both of them changed and went to the bed.

Same Night, 1 PM

Ashutosh woke up in the night due to thirst. But what he heard shocked him. Shefali was sobbing silently. She was murmuring something in her sleep, "Leave me...don't do this...please leave me."

It took him sometime to realize that his wife was having a nightmare. He jumped out of the bed and switched on the lights. He did not know what to do. He thought of calling up her parents but remembering their behavior, he decided against it. Instead he went towards Shefali and shook her. She woke up with a start and hugged him. Ashutosh held his wife in his tight embrace while she kept on weeping.

Ten minutes later, they broke the hug. Ashutosh wiped her tears and gave her some water. Shefali drank it. "Want to talk about it?" asked a worried Ashutosh.

Shefali nodded her head in no. Ashutosh sighed but did not force her. He helped her to lay down and put her to sleep. As soon as she slept, Ashutosh moved towards the living room and called up his mother. She answered the call. Ashutosh explained the situation to her and said, "Mom, please send Ayushi over here. She has her holidays right now. She will be a good company for Shefali."

Asha easily agreed and said, "You send me the flight details. She will be there. And take care of Shefali. Don't leave her alone till Ayushi reaches.""Yes mom," said Ashutosh.

Ashutosh cut the call and went into the bedroom. He pulled a chair and keeping it near Shefali's bed, he sat on it. He wanted to be there for her whenever she needed. But due to all day tiredness, he soon dozed off.
