*A few months later*

"Katsuki, please be careful." I asked hesitantly as he slowly places his crutches against a nearby wall to begin his daily exercise.

"Don't worry about me, as soon as I'm able to walk, I'm going straight into fighting to get back into shape." He seemed so sure of himself. He took a wobbly first step, before taking several more.

"Caarreful.. Nagomi, make sure you get out of the way, I don't want him to fall on you."

"Like hell I would fall on her!" He quickly retorted with a glare.

"Just sayin..."

"But wait... if porcupine gets better than he will have to leave?"

"Yes baby."

"Awe..." She looked down at the ground, defeated.

Katsuki finished his exercise, grabbing his crutches and going toward Nagomi.

"Hey, you'll get to see me..."

"Like when?"

"Like when... I come and visit? And when you ask your mom to come see me." He didn't change the tone of his voice to talk to her, like other adults would. he kept it realistic. His voice being as harsh and deep as it is, also made it more natural. Despite that, I thought he was just good with children.

"Promise?"

"Pinky promise." He chuckled, holding out his pinky to have the girls smaller pinky wrap around it. She gave a bright, warm smile.

I reached for the remote and turned on the TV to check on the news. Lately there had been a ruckus of Villains suddenly popping up but no one knew who they worked for or what their motive was. I often wondered if it was who I thought it was, but the other part of me didn't want to think of him at all.

"Hey, that's the bastard who did this to me!"

I had been daydreaming but blinked back into reality and paid more attention to the words the woman was saying.

"...and this is the picture of a man caught jumping from roof to roof, he wears an emblem on his back that is similar to several of the villains that have been captured. Could he be the reason for all of these unfortunate events?"

It was a blurry picture of a male in a black skin-tight suit with light green hair... Wait.. Maybe it was a girl?

"MOMMY! There was a guy at the hospital that had that exact same hair! What if they are related?"

Katsuki was the first to react. "What? That assholes was at the hospital? What did he do? What did he say?"

"U-Uhm.. He was the one who gave me the blanket."

"Was that it?"

"U-Hum." She looked at me, clearly feeling panicked because of the questions. "H-He knew my name, but I think that is cause I was born there!"

I wanted to giggle at her logic but my motherly instincts were crawling. It was him. It had to be. How would he know her name? I have no clue. He has never had contact with her. My eyes automatically looked at Katsuki who apparently had been staring at me already, wide eyed and ready to kill.

"That's it... I am getting strong NOW."

I shook my head at Katsuki and got up from the couch. I turn to Nagomi, calm.

"From now on, you are not leaving my sight.. You'll be coming to work with me on the weekends."

"Um, I will be here, you don't have to take her to your shitty job."

"Katsuki.." I rolled my eyes and looked at Nagomi before looking at Katsuki again. "Until you can walk without support... We will talk.. Until then, she is coming with me."

I could see him clearly grinding his teeth, I knew I had angered him but he knew I was right. What use was he if he couldn't walk?

"And don't force yourself to get better, you and I both know it is a working progress. So be patient."

"I will push my body to whatever limits I want to! If that means I get torn limb from limb again.. So be it!!" He sat on the couch and chunked his crutches to the other side of the room. "I don't fuckin need these!"

Nagomi retrieved his crutches, placing them beside him. "But porcupine.. If you don't get better, you won't be able to save people."

"You're the only one I am worried about right now Nagomi, there are plenty of heroes out there. They can do exactly what I do everyday. Heaven forbid they get some extra work." He leaned forward and pushed a strand of hair away from her face as she looked down. "All of this will be over soon, and I'll be back out there in no time.. And you can bet that I will be kicking more ass than I was before."

Nagomi nodded slowly.

I could tell he had become her favorite hero and I don't even know when it happened.

That's when there was a small thought in the back of my head. The thought of my baby being a hero one day and sacrificing her life for others.

But yet..

Her quirk..

Hasn't manifested yet.
