Present Day

A year has passed since the course of events that lead to you being hospitalized.

You worked your way back up to being the number one rescue hero that everyone called 'Kihou'. The newspaper headlines and news broadcasts had gone berserk after hearing of your return.

'Kihou is back but rumors have said that she left because she had a child and temporarily retired. Now that she is back, we have to wonder.. Who is this mysterious child?'

Nagomi stood on the pavement in her school uniform, today she was turning 8 years old. Her (e/c) eyes scanned the TV that was located in an electronics shopping window, listening to the news about her mother's great return.

"Nagomi! Are you coming?"

Nagomi turned to her friends and grinned. "Yeah! I was just watching this news story about momma!" She jogged over to her friends as they began to talk and giggle about the day's events. Three unknowing boys following in pursuit.

"Girls are gross..." A familiar green haired boy said with a 'bleh!' followed after.

It was just their youth talking but soon enough these boys would realize how special Nagomi truly is to them.

"Don't worry, you're going to be okay!" The (h/c) haired female reassured a couple of citizens as she nonchalantly sealed them in a bubble.

She was currently surrounded in a burning building. It was an apartment complex so very few were able to escape before the building collapsed and the fire worsened.

"Oi! Dipshit! There are some people over here too!"

"Coming!" You brought the bubble over to the citizens and directed them to enter the bubble.

"I think that is the last of them. We searched every room."

"Hm!" You nodded before going to a nearby window. You pushed the bubble out smokey room and let the bubble gently glide down toward the pavement of civilians waiting for them.

The bubble popped and she turned to the blonde male. "Time to go, the firefighters are here."

He nodded before jumping out the window and you made a small bubble to carry you down.

It was another day well spent and it was another day you got to go home early before Nagomi got home from school.

"We need to go to the store." You told the blonde as you both walked down the sidewalk, ignoring the glances you were getting as people recognized you.

"Why?"

"Today is Nagomi's birthday, she is turning 8."

"Oh! Right, I remember now."

You both entered a convenience store and bought some decorations before leaving toward home to set them up.

"I'm going to get comfortable and then bake the cake."

"Mom! Dad! I'm home!" She walked into the dark apartment and as she rounded the corner she found her two favorite people sitting at the dining table. A cake lit with eight candles and decorations hung up that said 'Happy Birthday!'.

"Happy birthday baby girl!" You smiled brightly.

"Happy birthday shorty." The girl's eyes glanced over to the blonde and she grinned at them. "Are you gonna make a wish?"

"Yeah!" She dropped her bag and skipped over to the cake and closed her eyes before taking a deep breath and blowing out the candles.

"What did you wish for honey?"

"I can't tell you! Or it won't come true!"

"Fair enough... Now let's have some of that cake!"

"Katsuki be patient."

"Yeah! I get to cut the cake!"

"Hmph!"

You handed Nagomi the cake cutter and she immediately cut Katsuki a small slice.

"Here ya go!"

"That shit ain't mine."

"Yeah, it is!"

"Why?!?"

"Cause you love me and it's my birthday!"

"Tch... Better be glad I love you, you little runt!"

Nagomi giggled and continued cutting the pieces for everyone. You put the cake in a casing to protect it and then put it in the fridge so it wouldn't go bad.

"Goodnight sweetie."

"Wait, momma!"

"Hm?"

"I want to tell you my wish!"

"But what if it doesn't come true?"

"I trust you!"

That's not how this works but okay.

"I wished that I could have a little brother or sister... And I also want a puppy and kitty!"

"You can only have one wish."

"Bubba or sissy!"

"Okay, well I hope they come true." You giggled and kissed her forehead. "Goodnight."

You decided not to tell Katsuki and wait until the time was right.
