(Mirayuki's point of view)

Finally me and Obi reached a clearing but it seemed oddly familiar. This was where the attack happened a couple of days ago. I frowned at the memory as Obi jumped down from his horse and then helped me down.

"Obi this is..." I trailed of as my voice got caught in my throat. His eyes widened a bit with realization. Luckily all the blood from days before had been washed away from all the rain. But bones were here from the wolves and whatever was left of their corpses.

"Mirayuki, I'm sorry I didn't even notice that we were heading in that direction." He looked at me with sad eyes.

"It's alright Obi, besides this place is nothing but a memory now." I responded as I walked over to the waterfall.

"It's actually a really beautiful place when your not struggling for your life." I commented as I stepped into the water. I heard Obi splash into the water a bit as he walked over next to me.

"Your really something else Mirayuki."Obi replied as we looked over the water. I felt a pair of eyes on me so I looked around but didn't see anything. It was probably just a deer or something anyway.

"You up for a swim Obi?" I turned to look at him with a smile.

"Sure." He responded and began to take off his coat and shirt. I gulped slightly when I saw his bare chest out on display for me to see. I noticed several scars that ran down on his back. I took off my coat and shoes. I threw them over to the bank before walking towards the deep end of the water.

I looked back when the water was up to my chest to see that Obi was gone. I looked around but to no avail, he just disappeared.

"Obi!" I yelled out, and that's when something pulled me under the water. I opened my eyes to see Obi smiling at me. I rose to the surface and hit him on the head when he surfaced.

"Obi you scared me you big Baka!" I yelled at him, well more like scolded. He didn't respond instead he splashed me in the face before diving underwater.

"Obi!" I yelled and dived underneath after him. I hadn't realized how deep the water goes. We swam for awhile with me chasing him. Eventually though I got tired and stopped. The sun had finally set and I could hear the sounds of wolves howling in the distance. I shivered from both the cold and the thought of wolves.

"Alright let's head back to town. We don't need you getting sick." He told me as we walked out of the lake. My clothes stuck to me and my hair was dripping wet. But I felt a pair of eyes on me again, was I begin followed? I rang out my hair a bit and watched as Obi got on his horse. I jumped up behind him and wrapped my arms around his waist.

We galloped through the forest to the Inn we were staying at. Izana was sitting on the bed when we walked in.

"Nice of you two to come back." He rolled his eyes at us. 'Aw how cute he was worried' I thought before grabbing a set of pajamas and went to the small bathroom. It was definitely one of the better ones I had seen but also not the best. Instead of a shower they had soap, a towel, a drain, and two buckets of water. For a Toilet there was a small hole in the floor that was a pipe connected to it. I decided to just dry off with the towel and change into my clothes. I left my wet ones to dry and walked out with my hair in a bun.

"Goodnight Mirayuki, we are sharing a room next door." Obi told me as he exited the room.

"Goodnight Mira, I'll see you tomorrow." Izana told me before following Obi out of the door. I sighed and went to lock the door. I paused for a moment, I still felt someone's eyes on me. I locked the door and drew my sword. I heard a noise behind me so I swung around to see the window was open. I walk towards it a bit before I'm tackled to the ground and a knife is put right next to my face.

"If you don't come quietly with us, then I'll kill you right now kid." He told me with a voice that sounded like a snake's hiss. I looked up to see a flash of purple eyes and black hair.

"Alright." I responded, but unknown to him I made a small cut on my finger. The blood fell out, not a lot but enough to let Izana and Obi know something happened. Otherwise they might have thought I had just went out. I also was able to cut a piece of fabric off of his sleeve. As he picked me up and threw me out the window I thought I could make a run for it. But I landed in the arms of his partner.
