Can't Help Falling In Love

(Tyler's pov)

It's been about a week since me and Josh officially became a couple and that I broke the news to him about my heart illness. Ever since then, Josh stayed by my side. He never wanted to leave me alone. My life was precious to him. I can understand.

During the 5 minute break, Josh and I stumbled upon a table with papers on it for upcoming school events. Josh picked up one of them.

"Oh my god this is awesome!" He said while looking at it.

"What is it?" I asked.

"The Homecoming Dance is coming up this Friday. We have to go!"

I smile slightly.

"I would love to go with you." I told him.

Josh kissed me on the cheek. He tucked the paper in his book bag and we proceeded to walk down the hallway.

After school, we went to my house instead of his. My mom was there.

"Hey Tyler." She said.

"Hey mom." I said. "I brought my boyfriend Josh home with me."

My mom already knew about my relationship with Josh. So she didn't mind.

Josh smiled and waved.

"Hey Mama Joseph!"

"Hey Joshua." My mom said.

She grabbed her purse and car keys.

"I'm off to Walmart." She said. "Is there anything you need before I go."

"I'm out of OldSpice Body Wash." I told her.

"Okay Tyler." She said. "I love you."

"Love you too." I said back.

Mom had just left. Josh and I headed upstairs to my room. As soon as he sat down on my bed, I went off to my medicine shelf.

"Hang on babe." I said as I grabbed my pills. "I need to take my afternoon heart medicine."

Josh watched me take them.

"You have to take it everyday?" Josh asked.

"Yeah." I said after drinking some of my Power-aid. "Doctor's orders."

I sat down on the bed in front of Josh.

"So, I've been wanting to do something for you since last week." I told him excitedly.

"What is it?" Josh asked.

I smiled at him. Josh was so confused and a bit excited at the same time.

(Josh's pov)

Tyler led me downstairs to his basement. He had his own set of drums and a piano.

"Are we gonna play a different song?" I asked him.

"We did Lovely the other week. Just get cozy on your drums." He told me.

I went over and sat on the drum stool. I wanted to play the drums so bad but, I decided to hold off.

Tyler got his ukulele out and sat on his small chair in front of me.

"This is for you Josh." He said before beginning to play.

I had just finished playing. Josh started clapping. It made me smile.

"Did you really like it?" I asked him.

"I, love it!" He said.

He ran and hugged me.

"You know I love you?" I told him.

"Of course I do Tyler." Josh said.

I touched his cheek and we kissed still with my other holding the ukulele. I felt so happy.

I can't help falling in love with you. I thought to myself during the kiss.
