Chapter 5 World turned upside down...

" Al , this surely calls for a celebration..! " Said Sael , my best friend who is like a brother to me, grinning from ear to ear.

"Came down Sael , calm down my boy.." I replied laughingly . Sael and i are entirely different but still we are inseparable friends . He is nothing like me , he is funny , charming and his stupid sense of humor never fails to amuse me. Whereas I..? I am the one who is expected to be responsible and sophisticated and god knows what all . Maybe our different up bringing has resulted in our diverse behaviour...

" Oh la la its my hot ex calling . Just a second bro.." And with that he left me alone to ponder on my decision. Did i do the right thing..?? Will the family be upset..?? Will they take this as a beginning of rivalry..?? Will they manage everything..?? Oh god i need some fresh air.. I stood up from my desk at my office and went towards the door. Suddenly a girl came and crashed straight into me .. She was a tiny girl so she hit my chest .

" Oh my goodness what the hell are you doing ..??? " I yelled at her .

She looked up to face me and I was stunned by her mesmerizing beauty . She had long black hair which fell on her back . She had dark chocolate brown eyes and flawless skin with a minimum hint of makeup . Wow..! She is surely the most beautiful girl i have ever laid my eyes on . When i snapped out of this angel's trance , i found her looking suspiciously at me . Did i do something or said something wrong..??

" Are you  a vampire..?? You look like one..." First i stared at her then burst into laughter . Alright so she is a big fan of Twilight , thinking everyone rigid and good looking person is a vampire... ( Yes people i am not very modest because i know that i have good looks.... ) . She blushed because of embarrassment and stared down at her feet . 

I seriously needed this laughter . I barely even get the time to eat because of my tendency to do the best possible work . sometimes i do feel the need to take a short vacation but then my family and work come before me .

 Oh wait .! This morning mother said something about a new secretary . I think she is the one as she was standing out of my room..

 " Oh ! My mother told me that you will be coming . Come inside." I told her and went to my table . She hesitantly followed still blushing.

" Well just so that you don't freak out i am not a vampire ... By the way i would not deny that i have the looks of a gorgeous vampire.. , right..?? "

She blushed harder at this and i guess she found something really interesting in her shoes.

" Ok so you need not worry i will talk to mother regarding the reason you came here . What is your name..?? "

"Brooke Carter " came her reply . She had a very sweet voice which sounded as if bells chiming to my ears . 

"Very well Brooke , what are your hobbies..?? " What i am not making a move on her . You know.. just being friendly..

"Um.. well i like singing Mr. Spencer " She replied confused by my question . " You will call me Alfie only.. You get that..? " I said bringing authority in my voice . She nodded furiously .

" Al bro listen... wow. " Sael was also dumbstruck by this angel's beauty . He cleared his throat and put on his charming smile . 

" Hello beautiful.. Can i help you..?? Are you new here..?? "

" Yes i am coming here for the very first time " She said smiling . See , I told you Sael has a charm that women cannot resist . Just because of this maybe i am slightly jealous of him as he is making my angel laugh with his sweet talks... My angel...?? Seriously Al get a hols on yourself .

I quietly went out so that they would not notice me . Why am i jealous of my best friend..?? I wasn't even mad at him during Sasha..... I still remember the pain of catching my best friend and girlfriend for three years cheating behind my back . I have always shared everything with him , but not my angel , not at all . 

" Alfie..?? "

" Brooke what are you doing here..?? "

" I saw you coming out so i made an excuse to Sael to come out . Are you okay..? You look as if you are in pain . " She said with a small hint of concern in her voice .

" Thank you so much for your concern but i am absolutely alright . You can go back . " 

" No . Sael disturbs me.. " I chuckled at her response and shocked that she is said that .

" Don't you find him attractive ..?? " I asked her bluntly .

" Absolutely not . I have seen better . " She said and winked at me . If only i can describe how cute she looked at that time . I was seriously proud at her for being able to resist Sael's ' irresistible charm ' . Suddenly my phone ringed . I looked at the called id and straightened my posture .

" Yes dad.. ? "

" Alfie , did a girl named Brooke came to you..?? "

" Yes father . "

" Very well give her the papers i gave to you this morning regarding the shipping deal . " Then there was a click . I sighed , my father did not even said a goodbye . 

" Brooke liste..." I searched around but she was not there.. Was she a dream or something..?? Suddenly a spark on the floor caught my eye . It was a earring and it belonged to Brooke..!! I need to find her and also give her the papers and .. this earring too .

I know one thing for sure now  , ... that my world is turned upside down......
