Chapter 7 Unexpected surprises ....

                     UNEXPECTED SURPRISES .....

This chapter is dedicated to akkisomerhalder for commenting on all the chapters and voting and reading ... It fells good knowing that you read and actually vote and comment because even i myself ( when i did not write ) never bothered to comment or like . But now as i am writing i feel and seriously wish for those numbers to go up or become red in this case .

Why God Why....???? Why do you hate me so much .. ??

I broke down . I bought a dress specially for tonight and it got burnt . 

" Brooke ...!! Why aren't you dressed yet...??? " My mother shouted but stopped when she saw me . I pointed towards my burnt dress and she gasped in shock . She ran back to her room and brought me one of her dress . Now , you see the dresses which she wears are super revealing . I took a look at the dress and sighed . It was a green coloured sundress which would end higher than my mid - thighs . She looked at me with hopeful eyes and i had to fight the urge to go and pat her on the head . I nodded in defeat knowing i have nothing else to wear .

I am now standing in my living room ,  very nervous to meet the Spencers . Ding dong

Oh my god , Oh my god they are here .....!!!!! I start to hyperventilate and my mom rushes out to open the door . I also follow behind her hesitantly and am shocked to see him over there .

I know i am staring but what can i do . My mom brings all five of them inside . 

" Hello Brooke , How are you ..?? " Sael says and then winks at me . I shut my mouth then and there knowing his smirk . 

" I am fine " . I said . It was supposed to be polite but came out a bit rude . 

" Good evening Mr. and Mrs. Spencer .."

" Good evening Brooke , they reply in sync ." That was so cool .

Alfie gave me a small nod of acknowledgement and at last he looked at me with with a small smile . It looks as he is unwillingly dragged here . He is wearing casual jeans and t-shirt whereas Sael has worn a business suite . And at last Alfie , he wore a crisp white dress shirt with faded blue jeans  . In short he looked hot . 

Mrs. Spencer cleared her throat and said , " Well this is my husband John . And this is my son Alfie . Sael is his best friend and as for Aaric.. well.. he is my step son . " 

OH MY GOD....!! Aaric Newly is her step son , that means he is John's son , that means he is Alfie's stepbrother . My boyfriend is the stepbrother of my.. my .. My what..?? What is Alfie to me and why am i caring about him . My boyfriend is at my home for a dinner and i am busy staring at his step brother . AND THE BITCH OF THE YEAR AWARD GOES TO BROOKE CARTER....

 I caught Aaric looking at me with a hurt expression ..... Oh no he saw me eyeing his step brother . I walk over to me , still have not forgotten our little fight . 

" Hey Aaric... "

" Hey Brooke , I hope it will not be a trouble that i and Sael also joined here . "

" Of course not Aaric , it is fine . "

Our little talk got interrupted by the voice of my mother asking us to come for dinner .

Causing or feeling uneasy embarrassment or inconvenience - this is how Google defines awkward . Multiply this by 100 and you arrive at my situation . On the dining table John sat at the head and my mother and Jennifer on his either sides . Alfie sat next to his mother . And I sat on the other head with Sael and Aaric on my either sides as the siblings insisted on sitting in the middle . Aaric was slowly becoming comfortable and we held hands under the table . And then Sael places his hand on my thigh . 

What the hell an I suppose to do...??? I am not ready to tell Regina that Aaric is my boyfriend and I cannot slap Sael as he is our guest and Regina sternly told me to behave with all our guests . 

" Brooke do you have a boyfriend ..?? " Jennifer asked me .

I looked at Aaric giving me a hopeful smile and Sael and Alfie watching me curiously and John seems busy in his food . Regina however mouths to me ' say no say no say no ' .

" No Mrs. Spencer , I do not have a boyfriend . " I said with a small smile . Sael looked happy along with Regina and Jennifer . Alfie had a expression which i could not identify and Aaric looked at me with hurt , and left my hand .

I whimpered from the loss of the heat . Dinner went well from then but Aaric was surely avoiding my eyes . I have a upset boyfriend who proposed me 2 days back ..?? Pity me .

After The Guests left last night  , I questioned Regina as to why she told me to deny the fact that i have a boyfriend . She stared at me like i was a fool and said that so Jennifer can think about me and Alfie .

I blushed remembering that . I called Aaric after that but he did not picked his phone . 

Now , I am in my room dressing up for my first day at work . Huh ...!! I decided on a baby blue sundress that was not too formal  . What do people wear at work..??

I left the house saying goodbye to my parent and siblings . Now working is a good way to utilize your vacation .

" Hello , Brooke . You can assist Riya today... " Said Riya's father . 

" Oh thank you so much ... " I said exited for today .

I worked there for hours with my chattering friend and enjoying my first day of work . A chime notifies us of a new customer . I look up and my jaw hits the ground in shock .
