Dear Jay,
You sat there amidst your friends, smiling at what Ishan was telling you. I smiled because your smile is so intoxicating. You're friendly, intelligent, athletic, kind and the most popular guy in our school.
I’m just another girl in your class who admires you. I have one friend; while you have so many. I can't even remember their names.
I'm sitting a few rows away from you, amongst outcasts. I kept looking at you until my best friend; Cady nudged me and whispered, "Quit staring at him, look in the front or the teacher will catch you looking at him."
I immediately looked in front but kept glancing at you from time to time. Soon the class was over and I found you were standing besides the window with your girlfriend; Leah. You both look perfect; she is beautiful and intelligent like you. I was a little jealous of her because she is perfect for you. You both looked so much in love and I felt tears welling up in my eyes, so I looked away.
Cady squeezed my hand and I smiled, weakly. I love her. She understands me so well.
"Ellie, forget about him. He doesn't even know you exist.” She said. I know the truth is a bit harsh and I completely agree with her, but I have tried sincerely many times but I can't stop loving you. I don't want anything; I just wanted to be assured that you're doing fine.
"I know Cady, I don't love him." I replied quietly and she rolled her eyes obviously not believing my lies.
The teacher entered and I was saved from another lecture of Cady. It was the math class, my favorite subject. We were studying algebra when I glanced at you and you were scrunching your nose. I know you hate algebra and you weren't getting what was being taught. I could have gladly helped you if only you knew me.
I took some more notes and looked at you and I know your eyebrows were furrowed. I don't like when you're worried. I had this sudden urge to go and help you, but the problem is you don't know me.
Soon it was the last class and when the final bell rang I glanced at you one final time at you and quickly collected my things and left for my house waiting to see you the next day.
