6 Protecting You

Jinyoung's POV

Meeting my childhood friend was my unpredictable happiness. We were inseparable back then. We met in kindergarten and we stuck together since then. He was my savior every time I was bullied by the other kids. I had a crush on him before I met Youngjae in senior high school because Jaebum was study abroad after our graduation from junior high school. I cried nonstop after that. Few weeks later, I noticed a cute boy used to sit alone in the cafeteria, eating his lunch alone. I managed to befriend with him, and we are inseparable after that. I dared to propose him to be my boyfriend. He was my first love, my first of everything, and my current boyfriend, Choi Youngjae.

I invited Jaebum to live in my flat along with my boyfriend and two other flat mates. He hesitant at first, but I reassured him that my flat will be complete with his presence there. He could share a room with Yugyeom because Jackson had his own room and he was too loud to Jaebum.

When I arrived at the apartment, I was welcomed by sleepy Jackson who stirred from his sleep in the living room. He rubbed his eyes and identified the not-Yugyeom-guy beside me.

"who's that?" he asked curiously as his eyes landed to the luggage that was brought by Jaebum.

"he's Jinyoung hyung's childhood friend." Youngjae answered Jackson question and voluntarily helped Jaebum to bring his luggage to Yugyeom's room.

"why are you bring that luggage to Yugyeom's room Youngjae-ah?" he asked as he got up and pointed Youngjae while walking towards Jinyoung and jaebum.

"he will live here with us, Jackson-ah." I explained. "and, he is Jaebum, my bestfriend." I introduced Jaebum to Jackson and he bowed at Jackson. Jackson mirrored Jaebum's act and offered his hand to be shaken with Jaebum's.

"I'm Jackson, Jinyoung's best friend too. Welcome to our house." He introduced himself as he beamed a smile to Jaebum.

"it is my house Jacks!" I sternly stated and he rolled his eyes, ignoring my pettiness.

He then led Jaebum towards the living room to have small chatting with him. I decided to prepare snack and Jaebum's favorite dishes in the kitchen.

NOBODY's POV

Jinyoung appeared from the kitchen with snacks and some cola. He put them in the table in front of Jaebum and Jackson. He sat beside Jaebum and joined the conversation, mainly about Jaebum's story when he studied abroad and his childhood life with Jinyoung.

"we were inseparable back then." Jinyoung butted in. "Jaebum used to protect me from bully. He is like my brother." Jaebum beamed a smile to Jinyoung and reached his hand to intertwine it with his. Jackson saw in awe. "I miss you hyung." Jinyoung said and leaned closer to hug Jaebum's arm.

"me too, Jinny." Jaebum caressed Jinyoung's hair and sent him the warm smile. "Jinyoung is my precious little brother back then." Jaebum said to Jackson.

"he is the warmest person to be embraced." Jackson teased and Jinyoung blushed. Jaebum and Jackson laughed to the blushing Jinyoung.

"is there anything funny hyungs?" Youngjae butted in from nowhere and sat beside Jinyoung.

"they are teasing me, Youngjae-ah." Jinyoung turned his head and seek for Youngjae's warmth.

Seeing Jinyoung acted like a child towards the younger, Jaebum reminded what Jinyoung said when he introduced Youngjae as his boyfriend.

"um... Jinyoung-ah." Called Jaebum hesitantly.

"yes?"

"are you really dating Youngjae for real?"
