The repeal of net neutrality is actually crazy and terrifying and it makes me want to cry.
If some of you don't know what that means, net neutrality is basically our right to internet privacy and it deprives internet providers of the ability to charge us for every little thing
So if they get rid of net neutrality, we'll have to pay $2 for every google search, etc, and the government can look at any of the things we've been doing online without a warrant
I've heard that it probably won't affect the major social media networks like Instagram and Twitter, but idk about wattpad
But the good thing for some of us is that there are states which are suing the FCC because of their decision to repeal net neutrality

I live in NY so I'm a bit more fortunate
but I also know that some of you live in the states that aren't suing and it's really frightening
I have family and friends in Florida and I go there over the entire summer break, so ig this partially affects me as well
and I'd like to be optimistic about this but at the end of the day, no one's 100% sure if suing the FCC will even help
I've heard that it won't go into effect until a few months from now so ig we have time to mentally prepare ourselves??
