I smiled as the sun shone on my face, the wind blowing gently through my (h/c) hair. I was sitting in the garden, enjoying the beautiful day. Haldir brought me outside several hours ago, telling me to contact Galadriel when I was ready to go back inside. I opened my eyes a little when I heard soft feet running over the marble pathways of the garden. I glanced in their direction, smiling when I noticed the young prince running towards me.
"Suilad, neth ernil (Greetings, young prince)," I said to him as he came to a stop.
"Hi!" he replied with a large smile. "I saw you down here earlier this morning and, when I looked again not half an hour ago, you were still here! So I decided to come down and say hello! So, hello!"
I laughed.
"Hello, neth ernil (young prince)."
He groaned.
"Please don't call me that! Everyone calls me that and it annoys me! My name's Legolas. What's your name?"
"(y/n)."
"(y/n)," Legolas tested. "I like that! It's a very pretty name!"
"Thank you. And I must say, you have a very good name as well, pîn lass (little leaf)."
Legolas giggled at the nickname. I smiled.
"Can I sit with you, (y/n)?" the prince asked.
"Of course! I would enjoy the company."
Legolas pulled himself onto the bench, plopping down beside me. He moved closer so his hip touched mine. We talked for hours about all kinds of things. Legolas told me about the games he would play in the garden and the "adventures" he would go on. He asked me about my life, so I told him bits and pieces of it. After several hours of talking, Legolas looked up at me.
"(y/n)?"
"Yes, pîn lass (little leaf)?" I replied with a smile.
"Are you a princess?"
I shook my head.
"No, I am not. I am just a simple elleth." I paused to look down at him. "Why would you think that?"
"You look like you could be a princess."
I smiled.
"Well, thank you for the compliment, Legolas. Why don't you run off? It's getting a little late."
Legolas nodded, though sad, and got off the bench. He started to walk away before he looked back at me.
"Will you be here again tomorrow?" he asked.
"Would you like me to?" He nodded. "Then I shall be here. See you tomorrow, pîn lass (little leaf)."
"Bye, (y/n)!"
