Chapter 8- A Day With Ellington

Ana's POV

I was getting ready for my my day with Ellington when I got a call.

Phone Convo

Ana- Hello?

Rocky- Hey Ana.

Ana- Hey Rocky! What's up?

Rocky- I was wondering if you could help me with a project later today?

Ana- Ya sure! What time?

Rocky- Five.

Ana- Okay. I may be a little late but I will be there. Your house, right?

Rocky- Ya.

Ana- Okay. See you later.

Rocky- See ya.

After talking to Rocky, the doorbell rang. I raced down the stairs to the door and opened the door to find Ellington. "Hey Ell. I'll be right there, just let me get my bag.", I say to him. "You can sit on the couch and watch TV if you want.", I say letting him in.

I run upstairs and look for my bag. After digging through my room for five minutes, I finally find it. I check in my vanity mirror to make sure my hair looks good. After checking, I head downstairs to find Ellington watching Austin And Ally.

I laugh. He turns his head to look a me and smiles. "This is my favorite show!", he remarks. I laugh again. "Ya, me to.", I say to him still laughing. "Okay, so were do you wanna go?", I ask Ell while he sings along to the A&A theme Song.

"I don't know. We can go to Get Shaved", he suggests. "Okay, then we can...", I trail off. "Uh... We can go to the park!", Ellington suggests.

"The park?" "Ya! Who says parks are just for kids?", he says looking at me. "Okay, we can do that.", I say agreeing with his childish yet fun idea.

"Okay, let's go!", Ellington turns off the TV and follows me to my car. He gets in the passenger seat while I go in the driver's seat and turn on the car.

Once I start up the car, Ellington turns on the radio and the song Happy immediately starts playing and Ellington and I start singing along to the song really loudly.

At Get Shaved

Ell and I walk into Get Shaved and order shaved ice. Ellington orders strawberry and I order cherry. Once we get them, we decide to eat in the car.

"Ell, can you turn on the radio?", I ask now that we're both in the car. He nods and turns on the radio. I start to eat my cherry shaved ice and listen to Counting Stars.

I look up and realized Ellington was smirking. I also realize what he was going to do. "No Ell!", I back up as far as I can go which is not very far, and start to laugh. He leans in and gives me a big, wet kiss on the cheek.

I start to laugh so hard and Ellington laughs along with me. "Ew!", I whine and wipe the kiss off. Once we stop laughing and finish our shaved ice, I start the car again and head to the park.

"To the park!", Ellington declares. I giggle. Thankfully the park was only about ten minutes away from Get Shaved.

At The Park

"Higher!", I yell. "I'm trying", Ellington says back pushing harder. I swing my feet back and forth on the swing while Ell pushes. "Wee!", I say going high in the air feeling like I'm flying. "Okay, is that good?", Ratliff asks wiping his forehead.

"Ya!", I answer jumping off the swing. "Okay, what now?", I ask curiously. "Well.... Since you picked the swings, I'll pick.....", . Ell scans the playground. "Let's go on the slide!", he runs to the ladder and sits at the beginning of the slide waiting for me.

I smile and jog to the ladder. Once I climb up, I sit behind him and place my legs around him and my arms around his waist. "Okay, you ready?", Ellington asks. "Yep!", I say happily.

"Okay, ready, set, GO!", Ell screams. He puts his hands on both sides of the slide and moves his hands backwards sending us down the slide. "Wee!", we say together going down the slide.

Once we got down the slide, we start laughing. "That was fun, what to now?", I question. "Hmm, I don't know."

I rest my head on Ellington's back and leave my arms wrapped around his waist. "How about we go to my house for a little bit?", I ask. "Okay"

At My House

'Do you want to build a snowman?', Anna sang.

Right now, Ellington and I were watching the movie Frozen because Ellington wanted to so I dug it out of my closet and put it in the DVR.

"Do you like this movie?", Ellington asks. "Ya! Who doesn't?", I say in a duh tone. "Oh okay, good."

A couple minutes later, Ellington slides his arm around me and I lean my head on his shoulder. I smile. This day turned out to be really fun.

At the Lynch's

I walked up to the Lynch's doorstep and knocked on the door. After a couple of seconds, Ross answered. Great.

Just act like nothing happened, I mentally told myself. "Hey, Ana! What's up?", he says cooly. "Hey Ross, is Rocky home? We need to work on a project.", I explain sending him a smile.

"Ya, actually. He's in his room.", he tells me while letting me in. "Thanks!", I give him a quick hug and head upstairs. Even for just a second it feels good to be in his arms. After going halfway up the stairs, Ross calls my name.

"Ana!" "Ya Ross?", I say looking at him. "Can we hangout next weekend? Just me and you?" "Ya", I answer smiling. He smiles back.

I go up the rest of the stairs and go to Rocky's room to find him sitting on his bead playing guitar. "Hey Rocky." He jumps and screams like a girl. I laugh really hard. "You scared the pudding out of me!", he announces.

"Sorry!", I said, still laughing. He frowns. "Sorry, it's just that was so funny!" "Ha ha.", he says sarcastically. "Anyway, Let's get started on the project.", I say trying to change the subject. "Ya, I think that would be best."

"So, how was your day?", I ask Rocky. "It was good. I went in our pool and played football with my brothers. Rydel tanned in the backyard.", he says telling me about his day.

"Cool, that sounds fun. I hung out with Ellington today.", I say smiling thinking about the fun day I had with Ell. "Ya, he told me you two were going to hang out." "Ya, it was really fun.", I state.

"So, what did you guys do?", Rocky questions. "Oh, we went to Get Shaved and ate in my car. We also went to the park and watched Frozen at my house. It was really fun.", I explain. I tell him every little detail about my day.

"Wow, sounds like you two had a lot of fun." "I did", I smile like an idiot. Today was a great day.
