—chapter 5

Both were done eating and were full. Wyatt asked for the bill as Jaeden went outside to prepare the bike.

As Wyatt waited for the bill, he waved at Jaeden who was outside, waving back.

"Here you go." The cashier gave the bill. It charged $10.36 and Wyatt grabbed out his cash.

After paying, Jaeden was in his seat like usual as Wyatt went to cycle back home.

"Well that's the end of the day."

"Don't call it a night though." Jaeden chuckled, receiving a pat on his back.

"Who says i was? I got more stuff to do anyways." Wyatt told as he brought up his novel.

"You're always writing on that diary."

"'Cause why not? I can't lose my ideas jus-oh shit." Wyatt's eyes focused at the dark blue car, knowing that his aunt was home.

"W-what's wrong?" Jaeden was concerned and a bit scared.

Wyatt tensed up. His breath became faster rapidly. Usually at this time, she was drunk and things could get pretty harsh at a night like this.

"Jaeden, stay behind me." Wyatt held his shoulders and opened the door knob.

The house was messed up. As she heard the door, she glanced back and shot a stare at Wyatt.

"What took you so long!?" She went towards Wyatt and gritted her teeth.

      "I w-was t-aking Jae-"

Wyatt's face was hit by before he got to finish his words. Jaeden stood back and was scared.

'Wyatt too?' Jaeden thought as tears formed in his eyes. He couldn't do anything at this moment other than watch the boy get tortured.

Wyatt had collapsed onto the floor, but did not faint. He saw here pointy shoes running towards his face in a slow-mo.

"You will make me my dinner quickly before i do worse. Got it?" She kicked him right in the stomach. Wyatt eventually got up.

Wyatt dashed into the kitchen and cooked up an instant meal. That was his only meal left, the only meal he saved for him and Jaeden.

Jaeden followed Wyatt to the kitchen, trying to make no noise as he approached. He saw Wyatts body shaking.

The same thing could happen to Jaeden. I mean, it was Wyatts aunt, she doesn't care whoever the person was.

"D-do you need he-help?" Jaeden asked quietly.

Wyatt nodded in the sign of no. He didn't, although he clearly did. As they were being cooked, he grabbed a plate, followed by the cutlery.

Jaeden just stared. 'This was his lifestyle?' Jaeden thought. He knew that he'd be living like this, though he would've never actually imagined it to be like this. Or worse.

He pushed away those thoughts as the food was done and ready. Wyatt placed the food in front of her.

"Go up, and stay up. No one wants to see someone as disgusting as you." She bickered. Wyatt rushed upstairs, and so did Jaeden.

As both were in the room, Wyatt slammed the door and through his novel across the room. He grabbed a few things and threw them to the ground.
