—chapter 13

The place wasn't to steep but it was butte. Both boys just kept looking up. Wyatt realized that he forgot to bring a few things but they weren't worth it.

"This's going to be a really long walk." Jaeden huffed.

"Finally. Now i can exercise and really get my legs moving." Wyatt told as he lead the way.

After a few minutes, there really was nothing much, but Jaeden loved it anyways. It was a long walk, but he felt like he was in a tour guide.

From what it looked like, they were still far from their destination. Jaeden had his eyes glued to the view meanwhile Wyatt kept looking straight.

    "It's so beautiful here."

"Yeah. We've never went this far that's why but trust me. This is the best lake view. We could swim if you want but I'm not doing that, Jae."

   "You can't swim?"

"What? Of course i can. I just really hate dirty water. It looks so blue and clean but not taking it." Wyatt replied.

It was really far and after every step they took, it felt steeper and much formidable but Wyatt didn't want to stop there.

He promised to himself that he would give the best for Jaeden before and after his uncle incident and just as he was free, he thinks that he deserves to see everything he wanted to see.

Walking only made him have deeper thoughts. He just can't believe that he was strong that he had to live in such a horrible place.

Though Wyatt wasn't the only one with deep thoughts. Jaeden didn't only see. He thought too and he felt culpable that Wyatt had to be the one to always carry him.

He felt like he was a hopeless case, like he can't do anything on his own or anything in general other than screw things up for both of them.

Both boys had thoughts that were less positive in such a really enjoyable trip. Jaeden really wanted to talk to Wyatt at this moment but didn't feel like it was a propitious time.

    "Hey, Wy?"

    "What's up?"

Jaeden hesitated to say more things, he hated that about himself. He made Wyatt waiting to the point that he stopped and took a second to look back.

     "Yes, Jae?"

"I just really wanna say that i-"

"Woah woah, slow down. Are you going to say something like that?"

    "Well yeah-"

"Save it for later. It'll feel much better at the top."

"But really, it's something useless. I could just say it now-"

"Nothing is useless and every word and sentences anyone speaks would always be worth hearing no matter what, okay?" Wyatt cupped his face and planted a kiss on his forehead.

Just as Wyatt was about to walk, Jaeden pulled him into a tight hug.

"What's this all about, babe?" Wyatt soothed his hair and planted a kiss on his head.

They stayed like that for awhile until Jaeden pulled away, eyes puffy and slightly quivering lips.

"I just love you, that's all." Jaeden had to tiptoe to kiss his forehead.

'What a cute boy.' Wyatt thought as he began to lead the way. They were then halfway to the place.

As soon as they nearly reached it after about 30 minutes of walking, Wyatt had to kneel down and grab a few things from his bag, like his novel.
