—chapter 17
"Do i have a backstory?" Jaeden asked, looking quite curious as he say back at the sofa.
Wyatt felt as he froze for awhile. To know that his backstory was much more worse than the accident, he didn't know how to react.
He felt like as if it would be better if he lied about it, though in sometime, the sad truth would always be known.
He had no choice but to do so, as that would be the only thing that would keep the days optimistic.
"Your life was perfect, actually. You had a really nice backstory to begin with. You and your m-mom; the way you guys w-were always happy, it was amazing." Wyatt stuttered.
That was the hardest part. He hated lying, and he never did, therefore the story was his first lie, and oh did he hate the feeling of having to add weights in his shoulders.
Jaeden, who seemed to believe everything, had a smile crept onto his face. Though, he noticed that he was looking down and his eyes weren't looking.
"Why are you sad?"
"Sad? I'm not sad." Wyatt scoffed.
"I just envy your life, that's all." Wyatt told, knowing that both wouldn't have to envy each other. Their lives were pretty awful, though the only thing they envy was their happiness they both had that they didn't know they had.
Wyatt felt as he had butterflies in his stomach. He knew that the feelings would come from a boy like him, he was just too stupid to not have prepared.
The fact that he had to lie, made him thought that maybe it was for the best. He let those thoughts slip and stood up as he took a deep breath.
"Wyatt?"
"Yes, Jae?" I turned back as i lot the name slipped, soon realizing that it won't matter.
"Can you maybe..stay?"
"Oh. Uhh, I'm staying. That's my duty; gotta protect you y'know incase you..fall or slip." Wyatt felt awkward and regretted immediately as he began to screw up lastly.
Though he felt as his heart began to beat faster. Before even having to hide the smile, Wyatt quickly ran to the sofa and looked outside the window.
He felt happy. The reason was a very little thing to be happy about, but that was the only thing that could do so.
"Do you go to school?" Jaeden asked.
"I-I take homeschooling and a part time job. I work whenever i want, really. The thing is, i rarely show up, and that would take alot of convincing." Wyatt explained.
—»Few hours later.
Wyatt soon began to notice as Jaeden became very bored. Wyatt was bored too. He was hungry and very tired.
Wyatt wondered where the catering was so he could probably nip some of Jaeden's leftovers but it took too long.
Wyatt heard as his stomach began to rumble as he tried not to think about it. Even if he had the chance to just grab some food, he wouldn't.
He wouldn't keep a damn second off Jaeden. He started to think that he was being overprotective but denied.
Jaeden was severely injured to the fact that he has lost everything. He can't let it happen again, he can't let him alone.
Wyatt was starving really bad. He crouched in the sofa as he began to grab a hold of his stomach and thought of something else.
'Damn hospital.' He thought as he gazed into the clouds outside, covering the sun.
