Chapter 14: Incoming

--New York--

Peter took a seat on the ground and didn't say a word. Venom was there, still laughing at him. Was New York lost? He started to get a call from Tony.

"Kid? Can you here me? If you can, say something." Tony asked

"Is that Tony Stark? Stark, your pupil is sitting down, trying to reflect." Venom laughed more.

"Shut the hell up!" Peter grabbed him again and punched him two times on the face. Venom calmed down as he spat blood on the ground. He fell silent as he said nothing to Peter.

"Don't mind that symbiote bastard. Anyways, we have 10 minutes until that bomb is above us. I still don't know when my Heartbreaker suit will be ready?"

"What's the plan then?" Peter asked, looking up to the skies.

"That's up to you. My plan is to use the Heartbreaker suit to control the nuke."

"Why can't you use the suit you have right now?"

"I'm using Nightclub. The Heartbreaker is the only suit I left in the bunker that is actually functional."

"That's great. Where will the nuke hit?"

"Empire State Building. Why? Do you have a plan?"

"I do. Just contact me when your suit is ready. I'll tell you when to do."

Peter hung up the call. He shot a web towards the building and got on top of it. He looked at the city, the place was covered with symbiote. He then saw the Empire State Building which was covered with symbiote as well. Surprisingly, Bruce was also on the roof with him.

"Peter? What the hell are you looking at?" Bruce asked, walking up to him. He also looked towards the city. A city with no hope but a nuke incoming. Peter then got an idea.

"I've got a plan. I'll try to rotate the nuke around the Empire State Building so Tony could hopefully catch it. Once he catches it, he'll move it towards the sea I guess." Peter said, sitting down.

"Well, what will I do then?" Bruce asked, tapping his foot.

"You will give me a distraction. You do know that the symbiotes will try and get me."

"I wouldn't use the word 'get'. I think the word kill is the right way to say it."

"Thanks for the confidence." Peter sighed. The city was still burning. The smoke coming from the tall buildings. If they don't stop the nuke, there won't be any buildings anymore.

"What are we waiting for then?" Bruce asked

"What do you think? The nuke." Peter said, looking into the sky.

--5 minutes later--

Peter kicked a symbiote into one of the car while he held the wound on his lower chest. The bleeding was already staining on his suit. Hulk landed on the ground as he took out most of the symbiotes.

"Is Spider guy alright?" Hulk asked, roaring at the symbiotes.

"Yeah... I'm alright, Hulk. Just, keep them out of the way." Peter said, fixing his web shooters.
