Chapter 3: Investigate

--Hospital--

Peter's face was still wet with water when he entered the room. Matt was lying on the bed and Bruce and Tony were sitting on chairs next to him. Peter felt bad for letting Venom break his leg but he was too late.

"Hey, kid. The stuff that's on your suit right there, J.A.R.V.I.S. told me it's called a symbiote. He told me that it sticks to things that will soon become its host. And your suit over there? It just became the meat." Tony said.

"I'm trying to work out on how it works. Maybe I can use it to my advantage." Peter said.

"I don't like how it sounds but if it helps us, I'm all in. But if you don't want to have that symbiote suit, I'll call Strange."

"Venom was shooting some symbiote out of his hands earlier. Maybe if I could do that, we will be able to catch him." Peter said with an interested tone. Like he wants to explore the things that the symbiote could do.

"For now, I think you should pay Scott a visit. I'm sure he knows what that thing does."

Peter left the room along with his bag that has his suit in it and went to the roof. He opened his bag and started to wear his suit. He's sure that no one can see him changing.

Once he was finished, he looked at the tall buildings in New York. Before he jumped, Peter remembered that Venom tore his web shooters apart. There was a minimal chance that his web shooters would work. Maybe it was time to test if he could use the symbiote.

He stood near the edge of the hospital with his suit covered with the symbiote. He held his breath as he jumped off the building and tried to shoot some symbiote. Nothing happened as he glided through the sky.

"This is not what was supposed to happen!" Peter shouted as he was approaching the ground at a high speed.

Suddenly, some symbiote web shot from his wrists as he swung from building to building. It was a surprise to him since he did almost nothing and it actually worked. He made his way to Scott's house as people from below started to shout 'Venom!'

He landed on top of Scott's house and quietly made his way to the window. He didn't want to startle him because he didn't message him that he was going there. When Peter got to Scott's window, he saw Scott sleeping with Cassie on their bed.

Once he was inside, he just waited for them to wake up. Cassie's room was filled with toys and carpets as Peter just sat on the floor. He was about to fall sleep after waiting for about an hour but he was startled by the shouting of Cassie.

"Daddy! Daddy! Spider-Man is here!" Cassie shouted, tugging at Scott's shirt.

Scott looked around the room to see Peter almost drifting off to sleep. He was surprised that Peter, of all the people, would show up in his room.

"Peter? What are you doing here?" Scott asked, rubbing his eyes.

"I was here to show you this." Peter said as he removed his suit. He had his normal clothes on inside his suit.

"What is that?" Scott grabbed Peter's symbiote suit. "This is... symbiote. Where did you get this?"

"I got it from an explosion in Hell's Kitchen. I met this guy called Venom and his whole body was covered with that stuff."
