Chapter 7: The Tinkerer

--Underground Bunker--

Peter and Mason entered the building as they saw Tony fixing his MK VIII. He was then followed by Toomes walking out of his office and bringing a small tool box with him. Toomes was the first one to notice them.

"Welcome to the party, Mason." Toomes said, placing the tool box on the table.

"Good to see you too, Toomes." Mason said, walking up to Tony. "I would like to say, Mr. Stark, that your friend broke me out of prison successfully without any scars. Thank you for bringing in the right person."

"Well I wanted the best person to break you out." Tony said, fixing his repulsors. "Now, Mr. Mason, there is a ridiculous battle in New York an I hope you have heard about it."

"It's all over the news. A man named Eddie Brock, also known as the Venom, has taken over New York City with his symbiote. Not only that, S.H.I.E.L.D. blew up the bridges that connect this city to the outside world so the infection won't spread across the world. So if you tell me, Mr. Stark, I am very aware of the situation at hand."

"We are very glad that you know. We just need your weaponry and your mind to help us take back our city. From the looks of it, S.H.I.E.L.D. won't be helping us in this one." Toomes said

"Hey, sorry to break this conversation but where is Frank and Matt?" Peter asked

"Shit. I hope that S.H.I.E.L.D. hasn't found them. I better find them." Toomes ran to the armory.

"Kid, Luke decided to get Mary Jane at Harlem, if she says that she's there. I think you should sit this one out." Tony said

"Fine. But if Mary Jane calls me, I have to get to her." Peter said

"Who said I'm stopping you?" Tony answered his phone which was ringing. "Who is this?"

Peter and Mason looked at Tony as he was having his conversation with the man on the phone. Bruce entered the room but he said nothing, he just passed by and went inside the armory.

Tony placed down his phone and looked at them. "We have some bad news."

"What is it?" Peter asked, sitting down on the table.

"The table costs a lot, get down." Tony said, "Now, I got some news that Electro and Black Cat started to work with Venom. Apparently, Venom gave them powers with the symbiote which made them stronger."

"To my knowledge, that does not sound like a good idea." Mason said, as Bruce entered the lab.

"Oh yeah... Bruce! Would you like to assist the 'Tinkerer' to the lab." Tony said

Bruce let Mason enter the room first before closing it. Tony and Peter ate their lunch at the table while they waited for Frank and Matt.

"What is taking them so long? Did they get caught?" Peter asked, as he ate a sandwich.

"I got no news from Moon Knight if they got caught or not." Tony said

"If they got caught already, Natasha would be here right now."

"You're right, kid." Tony said, biting his food. "Who the hell made this? It tastes great."

"I'm pretty sure that Toomes made it before he left. Didn't he say he'll find them?" Peter asked, as Toomes entered the bunker with Matt and Frank.

Both Tony and Peter stood up to see what happened to them. Toomes had a little bit of symbiote on his wings which won't be too hard to get rid off. But Frank was covered with blood and Matt looked tired as his suit was bruised.

"What happened to the three of you?" Tony asked

"Long story." Matt said, as he took a seat. "We entered the school in search of the children and they were held on the second floor where there was about 50 S.H.I.E.L.D. officers. It took some time to find them but we did and we let them free."

"We did, but those kids were scared as shit when they saw Matt." Frank chuckled

"Basically, I found them running on the street from soldiers." Toomes said, as he placed his gloves on the table.

"So, what's next?" Tony asked

Suddenly, Peter's phone started to ring which was on the other side of the table. Toomes slid it to Peter as he answered the call.

"Peter, we're a bit held up at the moment. Let's just say that there is about 80 symbiotes near us. You might want to help out a bit." Luke said in the phone

"Mr. Stark, I've got to go. They're in trouble." Peter said

"Maybe I can help you with that." Tony said

"I'm fine, Mr. Stark. I'll just call when we get caught by S.H.I.E.L.D."

Peter exited the bunker as he saw the tall buildings covered with symbiote. Stark Tower became a infected pod tower while Empire State Building became a HQ for Venom. Black lighting started to hit the ground, probably something that was produced by Electro.

He swung through the streets of what was New York and made his way to Harlem. When he got there, he saw Luke fighting some symbiote along with Mary Jane who had a shotgun.

"Hey, guys!" Peter said, as he took down 2 symbiotes when he landed.

"Great to see you, Peter." Mary said

"I didn't know you could use a shotgun." Peter kicked a symbiote in the chest which sent it flying.

"There are things you don't know about me, Parker."

"I hate to break up this conversation but there is still a lot of shit that is going on." Luke said, throwing 3 symbiotes in the air.

Peter dodged most of their attacks as he did damaged to the symbiotes, decreasing the amount of symbiotes in the area. Suddenly a bolt of lightning struck the ground as a man appeared who had a yellow suit which was covered by some symbiote.

"Spider Man, welcome to the city of Venom. Are you happy to see me again?" Electro asked, who had a darker tone than before because of the symbiote.

"I'm not playing your games, Electro. What are you up to?" Peter asked

"I'm up to some fun." Electro placed his hands on the ground as bolts of lightning appeared.

An explosion caused Peter to be flung across Harlem. He landed in an alleyway and hit a dumpster as he laid there with pain.

"This day keeps on getting worse." Peter said, holding his head.
