Chapter-5
Alec:
I wasn't sure where I was going... Just driving nowhere, I guess. I wanted to be away from everything.
I wasn't hungover anymore from yesterday night but everything still hurt. My thoughts included.
***
I drove till I was in a different town without a stop. The day was turning into night. I was starting to feel hungry but I was able to push everything out my mind. It felt like I was going somewhere. Somewhere important. And I wanted to laugh at myself for being so impulsively insane.
I came to a halt seeing the sign, No-Doze Cafe. I have seen this sign before, this place before... They must have a chain cafe I had gone to. I went inside, it was your typical cozy-adorable-you-will-never-die-here kind of place. I looked around, there weren't many people here. I walked towards a table and stared at it as if it had a secret message for me on it. The table was dirty and I could have chosen to sit somewhere else but it was like I was on autopilot. I raised my hand with three fingers up and called the waiter. He cleaned it up and I sat there. I ordered way more than I can eat, thanks to the exhaustion and my greed on hunger.
"Is someone coming?" The waiter asked.
"No. It's just me." I said waving my hand. "Hurry please."
The food arrived and I started to eat as if I hadn't eaten in days.
I felt her before I turned and looked up to see, a girl with long blonde hair with grey eyes and full pink lips, wearing a sundress. Iris? I choked on the food and started to cough catching her eye. It felt like the whole world had suddenly ceased to exist except the two of us.
"You okay?" The girl asked. Her eyes seemed worried and confused. "Do I know you?" She asked. She's not real. Even if she is. She is not Iris. That's not possible. Iris is just a character I CREATED. She's not real. Her fingers touched my arm making me stand up in a startle making the chair fall. I turned away and left without a word. It felt like the air around me had suddenly become stale.
I left the place without turning back.
She was real. I felt her touch. I felt her soul. I can't put in words what I felt. It wasn't real. It couldn't be real.
The only explanation was... I was going crazy.
Iris:
"Was he a friend?" The waiter asked.
I shook my head confused.
"Somebody has to pay for him." He said running his hand through his hair.
I opened my mouth and closed it again. I had a strange feeling, I was going to meet him again. And over time I'd come to trust my instincts. The guy looked like he'd seen a ghost. Especially the way he left. It felt like I'd seen him somewhere. I nodded to the waiter. "I'll pay."

"Whoa... Did he really order all this?" I asked looking at the bill.
"Yeah."
He better thank me for the meal. I thought with a smile. He didn't seem like a fraud. But he looked troubled and like a nomad with his beard. Kinda hippie.
Alec:
"She paid for me."
"What?" Lolita asked, half asleep next to me.
"I am so tired of dreaming." I said, sighing.
"Try the yellow pills in my bag. They are pretty good." She replied, sounding tired.
"They help with dreams?" I asked.
"Helps me sleep like a baby."
"It's alright." I wasn't comfortable with taking medicines. Unlike Lolita, who loved the worlds created by LSD's and how life felt during ecstasy. The same reason why Nyla didn't like her.
"Your wish." She said shrugging.
"Thanks." She turned towards me. She was looking at me like she wanted to say something. I turned towards her, my hand, now, tracing the naked curves of her body.
"Who were you thinking about while fucking me?" She asked making my hand stop in its track. I couldn't look into her eyes. "It's okay." She said with a snort. "Just don't let it happen again." She said in a serious tone moving towards me. Making me wrap my arms around her. I didn't know much about her, just that she was usually 'always' high and she loved cuddles.
