Chapter 14

5 years later

"Wakeup you two time for school!" I yelled as two tired twins get out

"Mom" Adrian whined

"Nope, let's go I'll help you get ready"

30 minutes later we grabbed our lunch and headed to the car.

"Mommy when will we meet Daddy?" Alexis asked and Adrian elbows her

"I told you he's busy and doesn't want to be bothered, so it'll be a while" I answered

"How long is a while?" Adrian asks

I was about answer but we reached the school "I will tell you later but for now have fun in school" I kissed both of their heads before they entered the building

I have to tell them one day but something keeps blocking me from telling them... My heart. I hate Kyle and he doesn't deserve to meet them, I know it's selfish but I'm not ready to forgive him.

I entered my office to see Isaac sitting on a chair.

"Oh how long have you been waiting?" I set my bag down

"10 minutes, I could've came earlier but your a mom with twins" I nod in understanding

"So I came here to talk about your relationship with Kyle" he leans on the desk

"My relationship with Kyle? I have no relationship with Kyle" I answered "why?"

"Well I know he cares about you"

"No he doesn't"

"Yes he does otherwise he wouldn't have got you pregnant." I gave him a confused look

"If this is about your feud between you and Kyle don't drag me and my kids in it" I snapped

"OK I'll go but think about it" he leaves

I rolled my eyes and started doing some paperwork that hasn't been done.

It was 2:35 pm so I grabbed my keys and left my office.

"I'm going to pick up the twins be right back!" I told Priscilla and she nodded

I pulled up to the school and waited for the kids to come.

"Hey" I turned to see Kyle next to my car and cursed to myself and gave him a smile.

"What brings you here in a elementary school?"

"I wanted to see them" he said "their my kids too"

"No their not!" I yelled.

He gave me a shocked look "Heather-"

"No just stay away from us!!" I cut him off.

"I want them to know who I am.." he said trying to calm down "you can't keep them away from their Dad forever!!"

We both gave each other glares while heavily breathing until the bell rang and kids were going to their parents.

"I guess its time for you to leave" I said.

"I'll be back" he whispered in my ear and got in his car then left.

"Hi mommy who was that guy?" Alexis asked while getting in the car with Adrian.

"He's just a friend" I answered and drove off.

After I finished work and got home, the twins were doing their homework while watching some Netflix.

"OK you two time to get ready for bed" I stretched after helping them with homework.

I helped Alexis take a bath while Adrian brushed his teeth then the other way around. Next they crawled into their bed, I tucked them with a goodnight kiss and closed the door.

I sighed and got ready to call it a night.

He trailed kisses up my arm and starts playing with my neck. I run my fingers through his hair and wrapped my legs around his torso and moaned. He trailed his hand to my upper thigh before kissing me. I grave him entrance after we played with our tongues. I pulled away for air and looked at Kyle smiling down at me- Wait what.

I snapped my eyes open to find to mischievous twins making their way to my bed.

"No fair we haven't jumped you yet! Go back to sleep" Adrian frowns

I looked at both of them then played it off as if I didn't have the worst nightmare ever "well looks like I'm the light sleeper now let's get you two ready for school" I got out of bed

"It's Saturday.." Alexis gave me a look

I took a quick look at the calendar behind them "So it is, what are we going to do today?" I gave them an awkward smile

Adrian face palm himself. "you forgot..." then gave me a frustrated look "you're suppose to take you to the carnival me and Alexis already dressed!!"

Then it came to me "oh don't worry I'll get ready, and it's Alexis and I" I closed my bathroom door

A moment later I was fully dressed and ready

"Mommy you should bring your friend that you were talking to at school" Alexis smiled

I nearly chocked on my coffee

"Yeah I want to meet him please Mom" Adrian and Alexis gave me the sad puppy eyes.

"Uh..." I tried to resist but failed

"Yay" they cheered while I try to remember his number

"Kids this is Kyle, Kyle Adrian and Alexis" I plainly introduce them

"Hi Uncle Kyle" the twins greeted

"Hey, I can't wait to go to the carnival it's been so long" then he started telling them jokes and stories while I mentally cry to myself

We got to the carnival and the twins were ecstatic. Kyle extended his hand towards me but I swatted his hand away "whatever game your trying to play i can play it better" I whispered towards him

"Well good thing we're in a carnival then" he joked then ran towards the kids

The first game we played was being able to hit stack of milk bottles. Adrian took a ball and hit the top bottle then the second one but missed the third.

"nice try you can get the little dinosaur" the guy in the stand said and handed him a dinosaur toy

"OK my turn" Kyle grinned

He took a deep breath and hit all three from the middle.

"Congrats now what do you want?' the guy asked

"Well?" Kyle asked me

I looked between him and the stuff toys

"A stuffed wolf" I sighed as they gave me the toy

"Let's go on the rollercoaster!!" Alexis yelled

"I never seen them this excited since their birthday or Christmas" I said to myself

"Maybe they finally get a feeling of what it's like to have a Dad?" Kyle butts in "I love spending time with them and you"

"Flattery won't get you no where" I rolled my eyes and walked away from him.
