Chapter 20

Kyle Pov

I waited for Chanel at the factory whats talking this woman so long I thought

"Kyle" she finally comes with the factory uniform on "sorry it was hard to put it on"

"What's fine do you have a present?"

"No but I was thinking about winging it" she smiled

"Whatever I'll bring Isaac here while you "work" ok"

she nodded and went inside

"Kyle why are we here I need to prepare for a business meeting"

"Yeah but I really want to see how your.. factory works"

"You've been here before" he gives me a Stern look

"Really well too bad we're here anyway" I said as we were about to go inside we heard a crash and looked to see the factory shaking.

A bunch of workers rushed out of the factory in panic.

I grabbed one workers arm and asked "what's going on"

"There was a malfunction with the machine which caused a fire"

I cursed under my breath realizing Chantel is still inside.

"Kyle we have to go evacuate the area until the firefighters arrive"

"Chantel is inside! It was my idea of surprising you at work for the anniversary"

"Dammit!" he stared at the fire and was about to run in but I grabbed him

"Let me go my wife is in there!" He tried to continue to walk into the flames

"Sorry.. but you can't save her" i said then he stopped and turned to me

"Of course is your fault! it was your fucking idea, you killed my wife! "he yelled

"I know your mad but-"

"Don't say another word! One day you will have someone you care about and I'll kill that person then I will kill you" he gave me a glare and walked away

-Present-

"And I wasn't invited to the funeral but they buried a empty tomb and Isaac continue having the grudge against me" I finished my story and took a sip of my frappuccino

'Do you still blame yourself for her death?" She asked concern

Heather pov

"No but did thought if things happened differently maybe Isaac would still be here and I didn't have to shoot him"

"No one would've known there would be a fire in a factory" I tried to reassure him but stopped and checked the time

'I have to go back to work, it was nice talking with you" I said

"Maybe next time you share your sad story" he jokes as I got up

"Maybe" I laughed before walking away

My sad story... I thought when I went to work

'Alexis, Adrian dinner is ready!" I called then I heard running feet down the stairs

They climbed on the seats then iris gave them fried rice with chicken and broccoli

'Thank you aunt Iris" the twins smiled

"Your welcome, enjoy" she smiled and left

"Mom is dad going to live with us?" Adrian asked

"I don't know, I'll ask him" I smiled and started eating

After dinner, the twins got ready for bed and waited for me to tuck them in. After they go to sleep, I get ready for bed.

The next morning I took the twins to their Nonna's house for a sleepover.

"Ok, listen to grandma and don't make any mess" I warned them.

"Don't worry, we'll have fun right" my mom smiled and brought them inside after we said our byes

I drove back home to give our husky, Barry on a walk for him and a jog for me to clear my mind

I took a break on the bench while Barry was being a puppy and playing with a stick

The kids love their father but I don't know if I'm comfortable with him living under the same roof as him. I really don't want to dissapoint the Alexis and Adrian too.

"Should I let him live with us for ny kids or not fir my self?" I asked Barry who wasn't even paying attention

"I don't think your dog could answer that" a masculine voice said
