Third person POV.

The council room of the gods was entirely crammed with people, several hundred minor gods crowded through huge double doors, the demigods followed them in with wide eyes, marveling at the intricate drawings and carvings. The major gods sat in their thrones, all except Athena sat with their heads held high and eyes filled with pride for their children. Athena was hunched over and crying her eyes out over her dead daughter.

Annabeth was dead.

Percy Jackson was kneeled at the foot of her throne, back hunched, head down, tears flowing from his eyes like a waterfall, so many that the floor around the two mourners was slick with tear drops creating a puddle.

The boy's small figure beneath the goddess of wisdom's throne slowly began to catch the gazes of the revelers. One gaze in particular was caught, that of Poseidon, god of the seas, and Percy's father. The powerful god got up and slowly crossed the throne room to Percy's side, all the while shrinking until he was the size of a regular human.

"Percy my boy," The god began, putting an arm around his son's shoulders and pulling him closer to his side. "I'm sorry for your loss, both of your losses." He glanced up at Athena, "I hope I can do something to help the both of you."

Athena got up and quickly shrank down to human size, she started forwards and fell to her knees in front of the two oceanic beings. She fell forwards and caught both of them in a hug, continuing her crying and muttering breathless thank you's and sorry's.

Surprise exploded on both men's faces and silence spread rapidly throughout the throne room. Nobody made a sound, nobody moved, they all just stared.

Malcom broke the silence,

"Mom? Are you feeling okay?"

Athena glanced up, realized she was hugging her rival and his son and quickly broke away, face flushed and looking flustered.

"Let the meeting begin," Athena muttered as everyone stared stupidly at her. "Well? Get on with it!"

Zeus spoke up hesitantly from his throne, looking concernedly at Athena,

"We have elected to grant each hero a wish, and to let Percy know that Annabeth has already been re-birthed so that Percy won't kill himself or do anything stupid. She says that she's sorry and that she will find you in every new life you both enter."

Percy collapsed on the ground and immediately began crying his eyes out. All the seven except Percy looked at each other and then looked up at the Olympians.

"Make us your heirs." The six said in unison.

Every person in the room heard Triton cry out in outrage.

"Father! You can't let them do this! You cannot take away my throne." Poseidon's gaze slid between his two sons.

"Don't worry Father," Percy's soft whisper was heard and every being in the throne room snapped their attention to the young demigod. "My wish is to be isolated from the gods and have my monster trace removed along with all the painful memories."

"Then let the wishes be granted," Every god on the Olympian council spoke as one and at once the six seemed to glow, an Percy seemed to disintegrate and disappear. However, a shimmering mirage of him was left behind, and it possessed all the power of the demigod, but without will, just a slave to protect the Olympians.

In the silence that the enveloped the council chamber one voice was heard murmuring quietly from it's throne:

"I will see you again my son, one day, I will see you again."
