Hiccup flew to Berk as fast as possible and ran straight away to Astrid's house. Ignoring the fact that it was late at night, He slammed the door open, waking her up and occasionaly Stormfly. She sat up in her bed rubbing her eyes "Hiccup... Its midnight wha-" She couldnt finish the sentance as the viking interrupted her "Call the rest, Its something that can't wait long." He said with serious tone as he wanted to leave as he saw that Toothless was growling loudly at Stormfly. The nadder backed away and got cornered as She growled back. Both Astrid and Hiccup knew that their dragons would never act towards each other, especialy toothless, who normaly was the calmest. Toothless' eyes started to glow Blue again, but this time, his pupils dissapeared, which was another thing to worry about. The nadder started to panick, as her tail spines popped out from her tail ready to attack.
"Stormfly No!"
"Toothless No!"
Both riders yelled as it only triggered the night fury and nadder. Toothless pounced at stormfly and dug his teeth in her neck. The nadder squealed as She kicked off the night fury, shooting the spines at him. Toothless tried to dodge but one spine hit him in the leg. The night fury roared in pain as he shook his head, making his eyes turn back to normal. He looked at the wound and licked it, like he forgot What just happend. He looked around seeing shocked Hiccup and Astrid covering her mouth, with tears rolling down her cheeks. He didnt knew What was going on but then heared a loud thud and whimper. Stormfly stumbled down as She lied on the ground, bleeding badly from her neck.
Astrid quickly got up as She ran to her dragon, taking off the bed sheets, wanting to stop the bleeding
"S.. S-stormfly p-please, stay with me girl! I know you can do it!" Astrid yelled, as he hugged her dragon "...please...." she said through sobs, hugging her tighter.
The nadder only purred weakly and gently covered her precious rider with her wing. Toothless dropped his ears down as he slowly approached, gently nuzzling his best friend with his nose, gently licking her snout. Her wound glowed for a few seconds and her eyes flashed with Blue colour, not noticed by the viking or the night fury. Toothless gently licked the blood off, as he knew himself that his saliva had heating properties but then backed out, not wanting to upset Astrid even more.
Hiccup just stood there, not knowing What to do he was looking at stormfly and astrid then at toothless, backing away to the corner.
"A-Astrid, lets take her to Gothi, She should know What to do" he said as his voice was shaking. Astrid sat up and sniffled, wiping her tears away with her forearm. She gave a light his and looked at toothless. The dragon looked away feeling ashamed of himself, even if he didnt knew What happend
"I-Its okay toothless... Im sure you didnt wanted to do this to her.." She said as She gave him a soft smile as She trusted the beloved friend of Hiccup. Stormfly stood up, stumbling
"Easy girl! You have to rest" astrid said as he held her dragon up, not wanting her to fall.
"Stay with her, I'll get Gothi and Gobber. When they will be here, I'll take the rest and go to check up on th me flowers. Since he saw them.. he.." Hiccup looked at his dragon "..he started to act strange..." he said as he flew off.
Once Hiccup delivered Gothi and Gobber at Astrid's house he went to get Fishlegs, not taking twins and Snotlout, knowing that things could get even worse with them and their destructive dragons. They landed and left their dragons few meters away from the flowers, not wanting to do any harm to them. Hiccup approached first and kneeled
"These are the flowers I was talking about..." he said as he looked up at Fishlegs. He started to nervously scroll through his book as he kept looking from time to time at the flowers "H... Hiccup... I cant find them anywhere!.." he started to panic "Oh my Thor! M-Maybe they are poisonous to reptiles?! W-w-What if there is N-No cure for toothless?!" He said as he grabbed his head not knowing What to do
"Relax... there needs to be a cure and at least one book or any kind of information source about those flowers, there always is" Said Hiccup wanting to calm Fishlegs down "Maybe Gothi will know something! She is smart" Fishlegs said as he ripped out one flower and hid it in Meatlug's bag on saddle. Meatlug's eyes flashed Blue but the dragon shook Its head and it dissapeared unseen..
They both returned to Berk as they flew to Astrid's home. Stormfly's neck was bandadged and She seemed a lot of better, same as her rider. Gothi also was there, same as Gobber.
"Gothi, the source of the problems are these flowers" Hiccup said as Fishlegs handed him the flower "Maybe you know What this is...?" he asked with hope in his voice. Gothi took the flower gently and sniffed it same as studied it closely. She stood up and wiped off previous scribbles She wrote to help stormfly and started to write again
"What is She saying?" Astrid asked Gobber as She got closer
"Uh... She is saying that She doesn't know anything about these species of flowers but She knows where you might find the answer. Go to the yak and he will tell you where to go.. wait wh-" He got hit in the head by Gothi's staff "Sorry! Sorry! Write better next time... she said that you need to go to flightmare isnald. North from Berk" Gobber said as Gothi nodded
"Flightmare island... Well then, lets go" Said Hiccup as he mounted toothless before Flying off .
