So it's only three days to go now until Undertaking Love publishes in e-book, and this week feels like a run of Christmas Eve's. Every morning I wake up in that gaspy, OMG state, and then fly into a 'what can I do today to help spread the word,' kind of panic. And then I put gin on my cornflakes and relax. :)
I started to casually record the rankings yesterday (obsessively). It's one of those things that is kind of exciting but very terrifying too, totally addictive in a nerve shredding way.
The price reduction kicked in over the last few days and gave things a starting boost, pushing Undertaking Love up to number 1716 in the overall kindle chart by breakfast time yesterday. It rose steadily during the day... 1569... 1003... 964 by bed time. Good stuff!
This morning at breakfast (sans gin so far, but the day is young) it was 854, and has since slid a little to 1081, which places it at number 44 on the romantic comedy chart. That's pretty encouraging, I think?
And get this - I'm waiting for a call from a national women's magazine in about half an hour. Clearly a good reason to mainline gin, am very nervous that I'm going to make a tit of myself! I love writing to my bones, but the PR and marketing side of it brings me out in hives. I guess I should just be glad it's a telephone call so the reporter will never know I'm in my PJ's with crazy lady hair and one eye on the drinks cupboard...
