He tells me he wants to be dead-
I smile a smile as real as fool's gold, not knowing I wish the same- not knowing my pain. I grit my teeth- baring it all for him to see, yet he see's nothing. Not seeing my craving; seeing nothing.~~~ ➿ ~~~
I hold my hand for her to grasp, she looks at my hand and laughs. She sees nothing, nothing.
Hug me- let the last of me hope, nearly nothing, go into you- to keep your glowing alight. To keep the lantern of your heart alive.
You have so much to live for- I have nothing.
Just a empty shell of someone who once was living.
Take my once bright gleam and run with it. May it light your way- let it behold your long lost sheen, let it protect you from all that is mean...~~~ ➿ ~~~
Just promise once you see my grave you'll place a single tulip amongst my slab that marks the life lost be her own hand. May you look at my bland gravestone, hold it close. Touch it and feel it's it's cold, let it remind you of my lost heat- may your gaze be filled with joy, not feel sorry for my lost feat.
For the battle I might of lost you now have the power to win, really you've already won.
Keep fighting, keep me in he back of your mind, know I'll be with be there to fight by your side. Fight the battle of life- fighting in which I've already payed the ultimate price...
