This forest is a strange place, whispers indistinguishable from a raven's call; fortifying a senseless evil one that stains these white sheets. Laying here, I'm far from the forest that once held me, yet I think of it constantly.
These beddings unable to protect me from what resides in the dark; something I can only presume to be stark. Dreamless dreams hold my mind's capacity; takes up space, unable to think. Don't think I'll ever truly be free from the forest, it's impression is already burnt into me. Scars I can not erase, one that was always stay in order to deface. Lullabies play in the deep crevices of hope (nearly empty and hard to find) poking at a fire doomed to go out. This pillow has become my friend, I speak to it in the form of screams and sobs. This is how I go to sleep- me crying tears of a past I will not forget. The forest chuckles each time, knowing what's it's done knowing
I'll never amount to anything, knowing it's dirty dealings;
knowing my lack of feeling.
