I sigh as I collapse onto my small couch that is inconveniently placed in the middle of my new apartment. The movers had just left after helping me with everything. Boxes were placed randomly along walls, on chairs and tables and some were in the middle of the floor waiting for me to trip on them.

'I should start unpacking but I really don't want to. I just spent 3 hours going up and down four floors and each box that I carried seemed to get heavier. I better be buff as shit after this!' I think to myself as I blankly stare at my tv that's placed on my floor.

I get pulled out of my thoughts by my phone going off, telling me that I just got a text message. Jake had texted me. He's been my best friend for 5 years. I found his Instagram and I was one of his first followers. I loved his photography and after I followed him, he followed me the next day and messaged me to thank me for following him. We started talking and I mentioned that I wanted to be a photographer and he said that he could give me tips and that we could help each other. It all started from there. Now 5 years later and we are now closer than ever. Even though we lived on opposite side of the country, we still became best friends. I'm so thankful for and him and I can't wait to see him again. The last time we saw each other in person was when he took me to Disney Land for my birthday last year.

I put my phone down and stand up while stretching. I walk to my room and begin to get ready for my first little adventure in my new home city. The only clothes that were reachable within all of my suitcases were a floral hoodie and black ripped skinny jeans. I put those on and wore my shoes from earlier.

After getting dressed and fixing my makeup, I grab my keys and phone then headed down to my car. Jake had it shipped here along with a bunch of my clothes in the back that I didn't want to pay extra for on the plane. God, that man is way too nice!

I made it to The Grove in 10 minutes, surprising for me since I'm almost always late to things. Once I parked I pulled my phone out and texted Jake that I was here. He told me to meet him at the Cheesecake Factory, which is my favorite restaurant of all time!

I excitedly exit my car and anxiously search for Cheesecake Factory. It takes me about five minutes to find the large pale building. When I finally see it, I spot Jake right next the door, distractedly staring at his phone. Excitement and happiness fill me and I can't help but to smile and yell out to him.

"JAKE!"
