I woke up to the sound of continuous knocking on my door. My droopy eyes could barely open enough to read the time displayed on my phone screen: 10:21am. 6 hours of sleep.... great!(note the sarcasm).
The knocking continued and I got myself out of bed as fast as I possibly could and yelled "One second, I'm coming!" to the person on the other side of the door. I threw on a P!ATD hoodie and rushed to the door.
Once I reached the door, I swiftly undid the 4 locks I have on it. I was terrified of being robbed or having my place broken into and being stabbed to death while I slept.
The second I undid the last lock, the door flew open and Brennen Taylor, waltzed into my apartment like he owned it. Hah, typical Brennen.
"What exactly do you think you're doing sir?" I questioned as I watched him barge in.
"I'm here to take you on a journey!" He said with a gesture of his hand, as if he was looking off into the distance, which was actually just my wall.
"Um... excuse me?" I laughed.
"I said we're going on an adventure. I'm taking you out today and you're going to have the most fun ever!" Brennen said again. He then walked towards me and stopped in front of me. "You've been really stressed recently and I just want you to have a chill day that is filled with new, good memories."
I smiled and felt my heart flutter. Oh how my heart longed to be with him. It will never happen though. Even if he does like me, I'm too terrified to be in another relationship again.
I smiled back at him. "Thank you. You really don't have to take me to do anything though. I don't want you wasting your money on me," I shyly said.
"Nope. Shut it. I'm not wasting my money on you. I want to do something nice," he admitted. "Now go get dressed in something comfortable."
I nodded and walked away to my bedroom.
"And make sure you wear some good walking shoes!" He called as I closed my door. Making a mental note, I began sifting through my closet for an outfit.
I quickly threw together a comfortable outfit that I wear on days that I'm busy and out doing a lot of things.

Once I was dressed I opened my bedroom door and walked into my bathroom to straighten my hair and put on some makeup.
I plugged in my hair straightener and while waiting for it to heat up, I opened my make up bag and began my makeup routine.
I was halfway through my routine when I noticed Brennen standing in the hallway watching me. He was leaning against the doorframe so he had just enough room to see my mirror but still stay out of sight.
