The wind was churning against the windows, as if some kind of supernatrual force did not want me to sleep. It kept me awake, thinking about the painful past. How it changed me.
I kept seeing his face infront of me. His ice-cold blue eyes. His scratchy beard, and the way his laugh spread across his entire face.
Tears started trickling out of my eyes onto my soft cheeks. Why? I look down to my legs, where one long scar spreads out from my knee to my hipbone. I kept having flashbacks to the immediate pain and to seeing his body lying there. Soaked in red blood. It was much more peaceful than I could have imagined. The red and rich color had something harmonious to it, and it was as if he was only sleeping in one red blanket. But of course, he never woke up. I tried turning away from the memories, but as always all I could do was find an uneasy sleep, being haunted from nightmares.
"Stephanie!" I heard him giggle as I stuck my tongue out to him. I felt a cool breeze against my naked legs and I closed my eyes to enjoy the moment.
When I opened them expecting him laughing at me, I just saw blood running over his face, again and again. Until finally he falls down, taking me with him into hell.

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.
The sound went on and on, as I groaned and tried strechting the sleep out of my exhausted limps.
With still closed eyes I tried standing up and finding my clothes. Of course, unsuccessfully.
"Morning, Sleepy Head!" I heard Calum's childish voice say. Forcefull I eventually manage to open my eyes, only to find him standing infront of me.
"Eh. What are you doing here?" I say, trying to cover myself.
He just giggled, shortly looking down my nearly naked body. "Since when do you only sleep in your bra and panties?" Calum asked rhetorically before turning around and leaving the room.
I blush and look down. Thank God he didn't ask about the scar, part of me thinks but another part of me does not care: My mom probably already told them about him.
"Stephanie Allister! Hurry up!" I hear my mother's urgent voice call.
"Ok, ok!" I shout back, and hurry into a white and short dress. I comb my hair quickly and brush my teeth with haste.
I fly down the stairs, only to see Julia and Calum already standing ready to go at the door way.
"No real breakfeast for you then, Dream Bear." Julia smirked, as I grab an apple and hurry out of the door.
"Honey," My mother looked at me pleadingly, "Can you drive to school? Me and Seth, I mean Mr. Hood, still need to work out some taxes."
I just nod, and glare back at Julia.
"Coming?" I snap at them, before I step into the driver's seat of my mom's old Chevy.
"Chillax." Calum muttered, sitting down next to me.
"Yeah. It's just another school day." Julia complained. Her beautiful dark brown hair was put up in a messy bun, and her warm brown eyes were teasing me.
Calum wasn't bad either: his slightly curled hair had probably not been combed this morning, giving him a sexy just-woke-up look. His cherry-red lips were curled into a smile, as he throws his head back, leaning against the car seat.
In comparison I was nothing: my straw-blond hair looked dried out, and my blue-green eyes were too big for my petit face.
I kept muttering to myself about hating my life for the rest of the car ride, but when I pulled the car into the drive way of the school, I quickly stopped, blushing embarrassingly.
