The sun was shining onto our heads, and the thought of her giving us her approval crossed my mind. Luke was smiling at me from the driver's seat and for a second my world could not be more complete.

"Where are we going?" I barely move my mouth while saying that; the sun is numbing me. Luke, however, just chuckles.

"What? You're not going to tell me? So you're basically kidnapping me." I joke, and a wide grin spreads on my lips. Luke quickly catches on, and a giggle bubbles out of his slight pink lips. They were so full and I needed to restrain myself not to lean over to plant a soft but longing kiss on them.

"I'd love to kidnapp you, Stephanie. Anything to be closer to you."

"I would be a willing victim, Lucas." I tease him. My arms are extended and his long fingers interwine with mine. The sudden warmth startles me at first, but feeling his skin against mine makes me relax.

"If you call me Lucas one last time, I will leave you stranded at a random gas station." I laugh at his joke, knowing that he doesn't mean it, and his laughter also quickly fills the car.

"But I love your name! I can't help but say it."

"Your name is beautiful, not mine. Yours is timeless: it rolls so easily over my tongue when saying it. Like tasting a caramel bonbon." He compares, and I needed to admit that I got slight shivers when hearing his voice compose so delicate words.

Silence streches out between us; me absordbing his words and he running his long and silky fingers over my palm. The silence pulls me into a dream world, and I just enjoy the moment. I wish we could live in this moment forever, without me dreading the past catching up on me.

"What are you thinking of?"

"Nothing." I mumble, but I was a terrible liar: Luke smiles and brings his lips to mine.

"Everytime you think of something hard enough there is a soft spot between your eyebrows." He whispers against my lips, and finally kisses me.

"Careful!" I shriek after a few seconds of floating in our kiss. We were still in a running car, and fear trikeled down my spine.

"Calm down. There are no other cars on the road." He sounds annoyed, and just hearing his voice makes me want to shout at him. I remember him saying the exact same and me actually believing him. What was I thinking? Oh right. I wasn't.

"We're on an empty road. Just let me kiss you. Don't make me beg." He pleads and comes closer to me. My seatbelt was pulling me to my seat, but nothing was attaching him. He just presses his lips to mine, making me moan. His tongue traces my lips but before I close my eyes and give in to him I see the glaring bright lights. The lights that are closer than they should and they cave in on us.

"I love you." I whisper before the impact hits us. I didn't know if he had heard me, but the words stumble out carelessly.

"Just concentrate on the road." I hiss and turn my back on him. The memory hit me hard; I have tried so hard to repress it and now.. seeing Luke brings tears to my eyes.

"Are you... crying? Steph.. What's wrong?" His voice souns truly worried, but I still just shake my head. No. No!

"Tell me, please." My head does the same mechanical movement as only seconds before; I was starting to get tired of constantly dening. Stephanie. No.

However, my thoughts are interrupted by the sound of the engine slowly stuttering to a stop. But I don't turn around to face Luke. Not yet. Not with tears rolling down my cheeks.
