So apparently I don't even get to dream about myself anymore?
Arthur and the most treasured of Camelot's court move into a much smaller, but still huge and beautiful castle. Soon Merlin arrives and enters his job as Arthur's manservant. Merlin's room has never been seen, so many joke that he doesn't sleep, and just disappears into thin air whenever Arthur doesn't need him.
But one day Merlin falls ill. Gaius examines him and asks him questions about his life to be sure he has no brain sicknesses. In his delirium Merlin mentions chests of gold and jewels he keeps in the basement. Gaius goes down to prove him wrong and finds that the chests really are there.
Arthur refuses to believe what must be true until Gaius brings him Merlin's seal of nobility.
It turns out Merlin is a prince who lost his memory and chose to become Arthur's manservant in his fugue state. When Merlin wake up he remembers exactly who he is,but cannot remember the friendship he shared with Arthur.
So all of them go up to Merlin's bedroom, because it turns out Gaius always knew where it was, and they investigate until Merlin understands the position he took.
Then I woke up.
