As I was brushing my hair, I receive a text message from an unknown contact.

unknown > hey kenzie! it's me, finn! you gave me your number at the party a few days ago, so i texted you!
name changed to finn 📸
me > oh, finn! hi! how are you?
finn 📸 > i'm good, you?
me > i'm good too.
finn 📸 > you wanna hang at a café or something? my friends won't interrupt this time 😂
me > you know what? sure. i'm in the mood for coffee, and thank goodness they won't 😂
finn 📸 > cool! see you at monet's in 5?
me > sure! love it at monet's.
finn 📸 > great! see you then! 💙
me > see you! 💕
I begin to get ready. I choose out a grey oversized hoodie saying the book was better and black leggings. As I was letting the warm water go amongst my skin, I realize something. Do I like Finn? I thought to myself. I shouldn't, things are just getting good with Johnny and I. Forget Brandon though, he's dating Nadia now anyways.
"Mom! I'm going out," I yell.
"She's not here. If you're going out with Johnny, he better treat you right." Maddie says.
"I'm not actually. Going out with a friend," I say.
"Oh. Well, bye then." She says.
I walk out of our house, and start walking to the café, Monet's. Monet's is pretty famous from where I live, it's the best café in town. As I'm walking, I see Johnny.
"Johnny?" I ask.
"Oh, hey Mackenzie! What are you up to?" He asks.
"I'm just going out with Finn." I say, his facial expression changes from joyful to an unknown one.
"Oh, Finn. I was just about to go to your place actually." He says, suddenly making me feel bad.
"Sorry, John! Maybe next time?" I ask.
"Yeah, whatever." He says rudely, and his arm bumps mine, without an excuse me. Very unusual of Johnny.
I open the glass doors of Monet's and see Finn, smiling and waving.
"Hey Kenzie! Glad to see you," Finn says enthusiastically.
"Hey Finn!" I say.
We talked for a few hours and took some pictures. Sadly, good things have to come to an end.
"We should do this more often," He says.
"Yeah." I say.
There's a moment of silence, until he kissed me.
